Dude what the hell.. six fucking overtimes I didn't get to bed until like 2AM.
That cuse can was fucking awesome. Is it just me, or is Devendorf the kind of guy you just want to punch in the face for no apparent reason??
I had a feeling Syracuse would eventually pull away once Thabeet fouled out.
Yeah, he's a douche but the guy shows up to play sometimes. You take the good with the bad I guess.
OK, I was wrong about the timing, it took 30 more minutes for Gottlieb to whine about UL, but he did say they were a 1-seed =/
What I wanna see is someone pick the #2's, a few good teams are gunna slide to #3 and maybe 4's because of the amount of good teams their are to fill these spots.
I'm from CT and a big UCONN fan, and have to say that Cuse deserved to win that game. For as great as the game was (I don't think anyone can call a 6 overtime game "bad"), UCONN played TERRIBLY for the majority of it. They missed too many free throws, committed too many turnovers, missed too many easy shots, and sqaundered too many opportunities to put the game away. Once Rautins hit that 3 to begin the final overtime, I knew the game was over, and oddly, I wasn't disappointed at all.
Carolina is looking lost and lethargic w/o Lawson. But have to give credit to VT they brought their A game today jesus.
HOLY SHIT! We got lucky as hell on that jump ball lol. Possession over to us with 5 seconds to go!
FUCK YEAH!
Tough call man.. I'm gonna give it a shot though.
Possible #2s: UConn or Pitt or Memphis, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Duke, Wake Forest, Villanova
Possible #3s or 4s: Oklahoma, Duke, Villanova, Wake Forest, Gonzaga, Missouri, Wake Forest, UCLA, Syracuse, Washington, LSU
It all depends how the rest of the conference tourney games shake out. I have a feeling Pitt would get a #1 over UConn based on the two regular season wins they had, but Pitt's losses are to lower ranked teams than UConn's losses. We'll see how it shakes out.
1 - UNC, UL, Pitt, UCONN
2 - Memphis, Duke, Michigan State, OU
3 - Wake, Villanova, Kansas, Missouri (after winning Big 12)
Wow, can't believe we won today against a solid VT team in a MUST WIN game w/o Lawson. Great play by Hansbrough late to tie it up. Now I'll predict a semifinal loss.
Edit: Tyche I like your list, only change I *might* make is to switch UConn/Memphis. Not that I like it, but the committee might do it if Memphis wins their tourney.
UNC better put Lawson in if they end up facing Duke. A loss to Duke is absolutely unacceptable.
Why hasnt Izzo shaved his head yet?
=(
He said after the season.
Yeah, he did say they were a #1 seed (UL), but his reasoning was pretty good for how they could lose it. I don't think they will though, and I'd actually keep UConn as a #1. Not sure how you can have them lose it just because they lost a 6OT game, lol. I don't think that game really hurt anyone in the bracket. It'll probably cost the 'Cuse the Big East Tourney win since they'll be so worn out, but i don't think it'll cost UConn it's #1 seed.
