Too bad Xavier is going to beat UNC and Louisville.
Too bad Xavier is going to beat UNC and Louisville.
I guess it's funny, when you know it's going to happen
It would be epic Tyche, that's for sure. Hope Lawson's healthy enough for us to follow through on our end of the bargain.
I woke up this morning and noticed something strange. My ass didn't feel sore from getting bent over and f'd by the Selection Committee. It's nice, I'll be honest.
Anyone else attending an NCAA tournament game? As I mentioned before, I'll be Greensboro to root on the Heels and throw shit at Coach K.
EDIT: Good lord can Gottlieb blow OK State any harder? I know you played for them dude, but geez.
^
Edit:
I know I haven't posted since the start of the season, but I moved 3 months ago and I still haven't gotten cable. I had to go to a bar to watch the 6 OT game last Thursday. All I have to say is NC WATCH OUT! (I know our bigs don't match up but we have Flynn and that's all that matters)
Flynn is a beast. No doubting that. Love the sig image.
I'm having a difficult time figuring out some of the seeding.
Oklahoma shouldn't be a 2 seed. They didn't win reg or post season conference champ, and were not playing well at the end of the year. Kansas or Mizzou, who both beat OK in the reg season, had more of a case for that particular line.
St. Mary's should be in, especially if the likes of bad Arizona and Wisconsin teams got in. After all the success Gonzaga has had, St. mary's didnt get the recognition they deserved. 27 wins at the division 1 level, in any conference, is well deserved of a tournament spot.
Wow, Louisville just leap frogged a shit ton of teams in the ESPN/USA today poll all the way to #1.
Edit...@ Above guy. KU beat a Griffen-less OU and was beat down by one of the worst teams in the Big 12. I agree about Missou though,
Gonna try to get tickets to both days in Miami. Just sucks I won't be able to see the Cuse games live. I might just save the money and chill at a bar both days so I can catch all of them.
Also, I want Syracuse to win so badly. Flynn is out of control and Rautins is stepping up bigtime too. Their bigs are where they are going to get beat. A shooting team usually dies out in the Sweet 16/Elite 8 area. But we'll see what Flynn is gonna do. I'd gladly have my bracket busted to see them win it.
Duke's gonna take it all. UNC out in the second round!
I did a joke bracket with Michigan State, Pitt, Memphis/Maryland/Mizzou (Having a hellish time trying to decide between these teams), and UNC in the Final 4.
Then i did a srs business bracket with Louisville, Memphic, UNC, and Duke in the Final 4.
And after looking around at some teams and records, I decided to stick more with my joke bracket than anything else. I just dont think UConn has legs, and Syracuse is gonna do some damage in the long run.
BTW, in the joke bracket i actually have Wake taking out Louisville, then losing to Michigan State on MSU's way to the finals through rematches with Memphis and UNC in the final. Assuming all teams are healthy now, I feel confidant in Izzo's postseason coaching ability and a healthly Morgan. A Bald Izzo is as good as a NHL playoff beard as far as im concerned.
Of all the teams in that bracket, I'm most worried about West Virginia. Really good offense, really good defense. Most balanced team in that bracket, and they know UL very well. Wake doesn't really worry me, neither does Kansas. Depends on which Michigan State team shows up, Izzo and Pitino are two of the best tourney coaches there is.
I have Minnesota beating Duke; legendary upset
American beating Duke, epic upset![]()
VCU beating Duke, deja vu upset.
Duke beating Duke.
divide by 0 upset.
I might be the one of the only non-Duke fans that thinks Duke will actually have a good run this year.
Im with tyche on WV, I like that team alot, I have them going to the championship game, and I agree with others, UCONN wont get out of their region, their like pitt you get tahbeet/blair in foul trouble their a totaly diffrent team.
I actually believe they could do. They've played VERY well since switching at Point Guard. I think if they can get past the trap game in their next round (assuming they win this week), they could make a run to at least the Elite 8.
