.......... Rajas is R/E <_<
I vaguely remember reading about this glitch somewhere, where if you leave a few of your gear slots blank and spam check people their gear will show up on your blank slots....or maybe it works the other way around :\
Yeah I have, chaperoned 2 weddings, had one myself, and been a guest at 2 more.
GM =/= players, players can't have multiple of the same Rare items in inventory/storage/safe/locker.
I'm sure you know that for a fact. SGMs can create items on characters at will, I'm fairly certain it doesn't matter whether the item is R and already exists in that inventory. It's not like the game is constantly checking your inventory for duplicate RA items, that's a total waste of time and processing. The game checks when you try to lot something, and when and item drops, or is entering your inventory from a quest, I don't think you can claim what you just did without any proof to the contrary.
The rare tag is there to prevent you from obtaining another of said rare item. That's not to say it will forcibly remove it from your inventory should a glitch occur at the time of the item entering your inventory, allowing you to have 2 of the same rare item.
However, by normal means, players aren't able to obtain the 2nd rare item. But again, glitches do happen allowing unusual things, and personally I don't believe that an item will be removed from your inventory automatically if you have 2 of the same rare item, but rather that if it is discovered by a GM they will remove it.
didn't read the whole thread, but the OP is lag. I once checked a 52 mnk offhanding a katana with bomb core in ammo
Yes, they can. As mentioned, this wouldn't happen normally, but it is 100% possible. If an SGM wanted to, they could fill your inventory with Optical Hats, or Empress Hairpins, or whatever other Rare/EX item you could think of.
Although these items are designated as Rare/EX to prevent a character from obtaining two during normal gameplay, their inventory is capable of holding more than one. This is because each item distributed in the game is assigned its own ID, but these IDs are never identical and thus do not conflict with one another.
So, a normal player can't lot on, receive a drop of, or accept a delivery/trade of a Rare item they already have in their inventory. However, if the person providing this item went around that--by not going through a delivery system but rather directly putting the item in the inventory, bypassing the checks--then yes, a normal old player could have it. And it would work just fine. There are no other checks in place. You could equip identical items (such as two Rajas Rings, which was mentioned previously) and they would function normally.
when this guy on ifrit got hacked, he was getting his stuff back and the SGM gave him 2x nin af1 hands in his inv, so ya its possible ._.;
