Movie was pretty badass. The action and fighting was nice. Megan Fox is hot. It was also pretty funny. Don't trust the reviews on this one, go see it.

I thought it sucked. Felt like it was 4 hours long and there was way too much shit going on. Needed much more slow motion Megan Fox running. And Belkin has herpes.

Why I didn't like it too much:

    Spoiler: show
Those 2 twin cars were annoying...plus did I miss something or did they just disappear at the end of the movie? One scene they were fighting the big guy the next they were gone. I didn't see them die.

Too much shit going on with the random red-shirt Deceptacons and the military, and not enough of the other Autobots kicking ass. And when they were fighting the camera angles on the action were terrible. I couldn't tell half the time who was beating who...it just looked like a big heap of metal. The scene where the Sam "died" and magically came back to life because of a robot vision and the whatsitcalled reformed from dust magically was stupid. The girl-robot was stupid (but the upskirt shot when the tail came out was nice).

The mom/dad going with Bumblebee and Sam inexplicably running off on his own instead of going with the car didn't make any sense to me...especially because the mom/dad/Bumblebee arrived at the same point as he did seconds later. He didn't even take a shortcut or something.

It felt like it was much longer than 2.5 hours. They could have cut a bunch of shit out of the movie and it wouldn't have changed anything.

I'm sorry, but if you liked this movie, you aren't a true Transformers fan. I've been a bigger fan of the TF than any other tv show, cartoon, etc for my entire life. I have seen every episode at least 10 times, read translated JP comics of every non-US series, and seen the cartoon movie at LEAST.... 150 times.

I'll spoiler the atrocities of this movie:
    Spoiler: show

    1. Througout the entire cartoon series and TF cartoon movie, Megatron reiterated time and time again, "I SERVE NO ONE!!! I HAVE NO MASTER" and within 5 minutes of this shit ass movie he is kneeling down sucking balls. Fucking....retarded.

    2. Jetfire's death was VERY anti-climatic. I mean...wtf? At least turn down the retarded military gunfire so we can hear his 1 line sacrifice.....

    3. Megatron got knocked down/out toward the end by some dudes on gun turrets + random miscellaneous military planes......ummm...ok....sure

    4. Once again, no FUCKING TF intro music....how can you be so fucking clueless Michael Bay!?

    5. For God's sake, just throw "The Touch" somewhere in the movie at an attempt to save face?

    6. The scene with the ancestors and Sam about, "the matrix of leadership has to be earned!" was fucking gay.

    7. Megatron got his ass whooped left and right.....

    8. Soundwave had 2 lines.

    9. You could never tell who was fighting who; the camera angles were PS1 Tomb Raider 'isk

    10. Devastator was KO'd by 1!? shot?

10A. Megatron didn't even say, "Constructicons....merge for the kill!"

    11. Hewey and Dewey or w/e were a waste of time

I'll go on tomorrow; I'm too frustrated right now.....I need sleep.

That is because I am right. Again, if you liked this movie, you are not a Transformer's fan, and you just will have to live with that fact

Where does it say "Must be a true transformers fan" to enjoy/not enjoy the film?

I`ll agree with most of your points Welt but this is Hollywood. did you really expect them to keep EVERYTHING the same?
Tell me one adaptation to film that has stuck 100% true to story!

Fuck the reviews, this was a very good sequel (if not better then the first), go enjoy

Im pretty sure they make most of these movies without considering the hard core fans at all, which is completely how it should be.(i guess)

Its pretty obvious now that you are never gonna get that feeling you had when you were a kid, waking up early on a saturday to watch the double bill or w/e... These movies are made to be accessible and fun, the only thing true fans can ever look forward too is the stuff that is done with the fan in mind, which is general little cameo's, one liners, references etc...

I sympathise completely though, The X-men Movies broke my heart, then that wolverine movie ripped it out my chest.

The story is definitely not as hardcore as the first one. The telling of the origins is always gonna be the best and truest story. This one focused alot on just the action and Comedic relief looks to be one of the main themes of the movie. I can understand why Bay wants a break from explosions.... sheit went off like it was the 4th of July nonstop.

There were a ton of robots all over the place. I dont think it went more than 5 mins before another random robot popped out. Honestly that's all I wanted to see and I'd consider this an Overdose. I'd rather see Transformers all throughout the entire movie than to see something like the Hulk where he's only in the movie for 20 mins.

I'd say the ending went the way of Hollywood, where cliche stuff happens out of pure convenience. You definitely have to let your imagination (and dare I say the Hardcore Fanboy attitude) go a bit more in this sequel to appreciate the movie and storyline as a whole.

Its a must see in some form of HQ format to see all the action, I loved and enjoyed it very much. I happen to like all the comedic relief

Well Mr "True-fan", I've been a massive fan of Transformers...ALL Transformers, not just G1...for the past 25 years myself and I loved this film. That's not to say I disagree with all your points, but to say that if you liked this movie you're not a fan is completely and totally ridiculous.

    Though to be fair:
    Spoiler: show

    1. This I agree with. While it's understandable to have The Fallen be a bigger threat then Megatron, Megatron was never, nor should have ever, been his lackey.

    2. A bit anti-climatic true, but I could hear him just fine. And seeing as his death is overshadowed by the massive ass kicking to follow, I can see why it was rushed.

    3. Down, not out. It took a suped up Prime to actually cause him real damage. Personally, I liked how the humans were able to put up a fight.

    4. Because the original theme song wasn't that great. Especially the new version that's supposedly on the soundtrack.

    5. Why?

    6. Actually I thought that part was great. The Matrix shouldn't be just found and picked up, it should only be used by those who show the characteristics of a noble and brave Prime. Not just anyone should be able to lay their hands on such an artifact. Only reason the Fallen was able to grab it was because he was one of the originals.

    7. The only one who really put a hurting on Megs was Prime. And seeing as Megatron kills him, I'd say he held his own.

    8. Actually he had just as many lines as the other big name cons. My only complaint about him was the lack of voice distortion, though Frank Welker still did a great job.

    9. I had no problem telling who was fighting, most of the fight scenes in this movie are up front, dead center right out for everyone to see. No more shakey cam or off-screen dialogue. We got to watch Prime and BB kick some ass. People actually applauded when BB beat up Rampage.

    10. That was a bit WTF, especially the out of left field way they did it. A sad waste of the big bad.

    10a. So?

    11. They were actually pretty entertaining, even if they were absolutely horrendous stereo types.

The vast majority of "True fans" enjoy the movie-verse Transformers. While you will get all the "Bumblebee should have been a VW!" crap and those who complain about every little thing, most people just ignore them and enjoy the awesomeness of Bay-formers.

Actually the guys behind this film have tried to make it while thinking of the fans of the franchise, but they still go for what would be best for the general public. But things like having Cullen voice Prime, using Soundwave (with Welker as his VA) and Ravage, the Constructicons (the big green dumptruck actually was a fan design from when the first film came out) and so forth. Hell, Bob Orci himself has frequently posted leaked info directly to TF fan sites and unofficially took questions from the members.

Personally, I loved this damn movie. While not every part was great, there were some scenes and jokes that weren't at all needed, some conflicts that were left unresolved/resolved in a crappy manner, and a totally random use of some bots (wtfJolt?), overall it was an entertaining and enjoyable film. Even if I did have to stay up till 4 am on a work night to see the damn thing.

I really wanted to like this film. But overexposure to even the television commercials really ruins much of the action.

Gonna have to say the movie was bloated and tried way to hard to fan service, while not really adding anything new to the story.

The Fallen was a LAME badguy, it would have made more sense to just reuse Megatron as the big baddie, having him bow to anyone other than Unicron just seems sad (all current posted complaints aside).
The action sequences suffer from tight shots and constantly rotating and moving cameras (just like every other Bay movie).
The story is so full of holes its just retarded. I couldn't even stay for the credits on this one.

I really wanted to love this movie but it just felt meh... I was disappointed to be sure.

They lost the epic feeling of the first film.

I'll add in something else that irked me throughout:

    Spoiler: show
I had to ask myself, "Do the Autobots even care that Optimus Prime just died?" They hardly referred to it at all, and none were emotional other than MAYBE BB for a quick second. The cartoon movie was so emotional when Prime died.....the ball was dropped for sure.

Hey guys If you're a true fan than this movie and the first one sucked ass cause bumblebee wasn't a bug. Worst movies ever. Don't see them.

    Or spiderman

    Or RE

    Or Xmen

    Or any Marvel movies

Or any movies based off books

Or any movies based off comics

Or any movies based off movies

    tv shows

    toys

    people

    ants

Pretty much any movie that I didn't make in my basement sucks cause they don't follow the real story. And if you're a TRUE fan, then that's a big deal.

    Give me a break.
