Movie was pretty badass. The action and fighting was nice. Megan Fox is hot. It was also pretty funny. Don't trust the reviews on this one, go see it.

I thought it sucked. Felt like it was 4 hours long and there was way too much shit going on. Needed much more slow motion Megan Fox running. And Belkin has herpes.
i have no ideas what these ppl that are giving this movie a bad review are smoking. this movie was absolutely fucking amazing. i recommend everyone to go see this and tell the fucking critics to shove it up there ass. yes it was a lot of action and yes decepticles were kinda meh but it had a great story and im kinda suspecting for a third adn maybe final film but i dunno. its a must see imo.
saw it tonight, was a decent movie coming from someone who wasnt that much into Transformers. But the comedy relief was just too good.
Why I didn't like it too much:
Spoiler: show
I'm sorry, but if you liked this movie, you aren't a true Transformers fan. I've been a bigger fan of the TF than any other tv show, cartoon, etc for my entire life. I have seen every episode at least 10 times, read translated JP comics of every non-US series, and seen the cartoon movie at LEAST.... 150 times.
I'll spoiler the atrocities of this movie:
Spoiler: show
*sigh*
Spoiler: show
oh shit, the true fan card
this movie was terrible because its nothing like transformers holy fucking shit im gonna be angry cause its nothing like when i was a child
true fans are always butt hurt. its gonna be different you tards its another reiteration of the story line for fucks sake
Where does it say "Must be a true transformers fan" to enjoy/not enjoy the film?
I`ll agree with most of your points Welt but this is Hollywood. did you really expect them to keep EVERYTHING the same?
Tell me one adaptation to film that has stuck 100% true to story!
Fuck the reviews, this was a very good sequel (if not better then the first), go enjoy
The graphics are nothing like the original wtf, and why didn't we have any commercials every 10 mins? BS man, BS
Im pretty sure they make most of these movies without considering the hard core fans at all, which is completely how it should be.(i guess)
Its pretty obvious now that you are never gonna get that feeling you had when you were a kid, waking up early on a saturday to watch the double bill or w/e... These movies are made to be accessible and fun, the only thing true fans can ever look forward too is the stuff that is done with the fan in mind, which is general little cameo's, one liners, references etc...
I sympathise completely though, The X-men Movies broke my heart, then that wolverine movie ripped it out my chest.
How about that Avatar trailer!?!?!? !!!! AWESOME.
Spoiler: show
The story is definitely not as hardcore as the first one. The telling of the origins is always gonna be the best and truest story. This one focused alot on just the action and Comedic relief looks to be one of the main themes of the movie. I can understand why Bay wants a break from explosions.... sheit went off like it was the 4th of July nonstop.
There were a ton of robots all over the place. I dont think it went more than 5 mins before another random robot popped out. Honestly that's all I wanted to see and I'd consider this an Overdose. I'd rather see Transformers all throughout the entire movie than to see something like the Hulk where he's only in the movie for 20 mins.
I'd say the ending went the way of Hollywood, where cliche stuff happens out of pure convenience. You definitely have to let your imagination (and dare I say the Hardcore Fanboy attitude) go a bit more in this sequel to appreciate the movie and storyline as a whole.
Its a must see in some form of HQ format to see all the action, I loved and enjoyed it very much. I happen to like all the comedic relief
Well Mr "True-fan", I've been a massive fan of Transformers...ALL Transformers, not just G1...for the past 25 years myself and I loved this film. That's not to say I disagree with all your points, but to say that if you liked this movie you're not a fan is completely and totally ridiculous.
Though to be fair:
Spoiler: show
The vast majority of "True fans" enjoy the movie-verse Transformers. While you will get all the "Bumblebee should have been a VW!" crap and those who complain about every little thing, most people just ignore them and enjoy the awesomeness of Bay-formers.
Actually the guys behind this film have tried to make it while thinking of the fans of the franchise, but they still go for what would be best for the general public. But things like having Cullen voice Prime, using Soundwave (with Welker as his VA) and Ravage, the Constructicons (the big green dumptruck actually was a fan design from when the first film came out) and so forth. Hell, Bob Orci himself has frequently posted leaked info directly to TF fan sites and unofficially took questions from the members.
Personally, I loved this damn movie. While not every part was great, there were some scenes and jokes that weren't at all needed, some conflicts that were left unresolved/resolved in a crappy manner, and a totally random use of some bots (wtfJolt?), overall it was an entertaining and enjoyable film. Even if I did have to stay up till 4 am on a work night to see the damn thing.![]()
I really wanted to like this film. But overexposure to even the television commercials really ruins much of the action.
Gonna have to say the movie was bloated and tried way to hard to fan service, while not really adding anything new to the story.
The Fallen was a LAME badguy, it would have made more sense to just reuse Megatron as the big baddie, having him bow to anyone other than Unicron just seems sad (all current posted complaints aside).
The action sequences suffer from tight shots and constantly rotating and moving cameras (just like every other Bay movie).
The story is so full of holes its just retarded. I couldn't even stay for the credits on this one.
I really wanted to love this movie but it just felt meh... I was disappointed to be sure.
They lost the epic feeling of the first film.
I'll add in something else that irked me throughout:
Spoiler: show
Hey guys If you're a true fan than this movie and the first one sucked ass cause bumblebee wasn't a bug. Worst movies ever. Don't see them.
Or spiderman
Or RE
Or Xmen
Or any Marvel movies
Or any movies based off books
Or any movies based off comics
Or any movies based off movies
tv shows
toys
people
ants
Pretty much any movie that I didn't make in my basement sucks cause they don't follow the real story. And if you're a TRUE fan, then that's a big deal.
Give me a break.
