I think the twins had too many scenes, but there were very few scenes they were in that I wasn't laughing my ass off.

In terms of comedy, the mother stole the show (without a doubt).

And I'm intrigued to know what plotholes anyone could find in this movie. Headspace, did we see the same movie? I saw a shitload of robot fighting. The only thing I can agree with you on is probably the soundtrack, but only in terms of Linkin Park (and that's just because the music sounded too much like "What I've Done") and nothing else.

saw this flick last night with my girlfriend and my cousin. and near as i can tell the only good thing about this movie is that it ended. and the forest fight. that was it. was a stupid 2 and a half hour movie full of subpar humor and a crappy story.

i wont bother listing all the stuff that was wrong with it because everyone has already posted it all about 10 times over but i really gotta know wtf was bay thinking? must not have been about the movie because that sure as hell wasn't any good.

on a side note my girlfriend loved it and my cousin thought it was ok......

Pretty good since I lowered my expectations quite a bit. Lack of character development hurt a bit and the twins got kind of annoying but still worth seeing. Making Soundwave into a satellite was an A+ idea, I kind of missed his monotone voice though.

Mess up in the plot or something we see that scrapper was with them when they went below to revive megatron and was taken for his parts but did he get them back some way but he appears with a yellow rampage that had the long wheels for hands that fought against bumblebee.

I think Bay took too many hits off the crack pipe. The franchise is TRANSFORMERS, not the Sam Witwicky Adventures. Sam IS the sidekick. Rule of thumb is sidekicks do not get sidekicks.

I think the Constructicons weren't necessarily unique, since obviously there were 5+ that made up Devastator, and then there were a couple more here and there (e.g. Rampage specifically was named, Demolisher from the opening, and I think I saw one or two more Constructicon-like Decepticons get bombed at the end). Just a liberty that they took with the film, I guess.

Though I was wondering how there were 6 units coming back up from the bottom of the ocean after they revived Megatron. On the way down, the submarine guys said there were 5, but since they cannibalized one of their own, shouldn't there still be only 5 on the way up, too?

5 on the way down, 1 was ripped apart to add to megatron leaving 4, but there was the little one that came out of the other one, so that makes 5, and with megatron that makes 6. I find it kind of funny that people are picking this movie apart when other movies had the same, if not more inconsistencies this movie.

5. Apparently, Transformers can look like people now. How? And how is it that even though the robo-girl (Isabel Lucas) is made of metal, she can still straddle Sam without crushing him. And if Bumblebee knows something's wrong with her, why does he spit antifreeze at her instead of telling Sam?

Bubblebee didn't have a clue that she was a decepticon. The reason why he was trying to get her out of the car by doing things to her such as spitting anti-freeze was because he thought Sam was cheating on his GF and he was trying to get rid of her

Well, I guess 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, and 10 are worth reading for their lols.

Yeah I just find it funny that critics expect movies to be perfect. For example, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, had 256 mistakes of continuity, visible crew, and other things yet we never heard critics complaining about it lol.

Just saw the movie today on Imax... it's bloody beautiful ;_; The huge screen makes it all worthwhile. It's definitely the one special effects movie this summer that's worth paying the extra money to. The sound and size of the screen is just awesomeeee

But because I'm such a transformers Fangirl ~ I have some responses to those "wtf" moments to share!

- (Not sure if someone brought this up already) Some people complained about Machine Guns being able to take down Megatron and the other Decepticons:

- > In the scene where Starscream fires the EMP blast in the desert and knocks out contact between NEST and the Pentagon, the guy at the Pentagon DOES mention that the NEST army has the latest in military technology weapons.

- Bumblebee's unable to speak

-> Well, this should've been in the movie, but it probably would've made it even longer. In the prequels to the comics (okay you guys can hit me with the geek brick now) Bumblebee and some of the NEST army confront Starscream in the desert and Bumblebee jumps in the way to save the team from Starscream's blasts, knocking out his voice again.

- Why didn't Sam just use the shard on Optimus?

-> Someone actually mentioned this to me... maybe he was too damaged... but anyway, even when they had a larger fragment of the all spark to give to Megatron, they still needed parts for him to completely be repaired... But any Autobot would've sacrificed their parts for Prime.


- And for this ... That reminds me: even if I were to forgive the Doctor's German accent -- and director Michael Bay is asking me to forgive a lot of ridiculous accents -- why would a robot need glasses? He has little lenses that flip in front of his mechanical eyes. Couldn't he just get his eyes adjusted? You'd think with all the laser guns, someone could perform a Lasik procedure.

-> What is the point of Perceptor in the cartoon series? He's a GIANT MICROSCOPE.

Thats because LoTR was overall well written and directed. This was not. One of my dissapointments with the first was that we never really got any character depth. Now in the sequel, instead of expanding on the existing characters, they just threw in a slew of new ones each as cardboard as the last. Actually, thats an insult to the rich corrugation of cardboard - they were as thin as the Decepticon that jacked the fragment early on.

Obviously a big CGI-fest isn't going to be big on subtlety, but this was just pathetic.

Also, I never saw a Decepticon being sacrificed to help bring back Megatron, all I saw was the fragment being used. Did I completely miss it, or are people just insisting that it happened based on backstory from the intreweb?
