It happened. What people are disputing is that it happened and said Decepticon was alive and kicking not five minutes later.

Also, about the weapons damaging decepticons... clearly the guy didn't see the first movie where they outfitted all of their weapons with HE rounds that were capable of penetrating their armor.

Just saw the movie today on Imax... it's bloody beautiful ;_; The huge screen makes it all worthwhile. It's definitely the one special effects movie this summer that's worth paying the extra money to. The sound and size of the screen is just awesomeeee

But because I'm such a transformers Fangirl ~ I have some responses to those "wtf" moments to share!

- (Not sure if someone brought this up already) Some people complained about Machine Guns being able to take down Megatron and the other Decepticons:

- > In the scene where Starscream fires the EMP blast in the desert and knocks out contact between NEST and the Pentagon, the guy at the Pentagon DOES mention that the NEST army has the latest in military technology weapons.

- Bumblebee's unable to speak

-> Well, this should've been in the movie, but it probably would've made it even longer. In the prequels to the comics (okay you guys can hit me with the geek brick now) Bumblebee and some of the NEST army confront Starscream in the desert and Bumblebee jumps in the way to save the team from Starscream's blasts, knocking out his voice again.

- Why didn't Sam just use the shard on Optimus?

-> Someone actually mentioned this to me... maybe he was too damaged... but anyway, even when they had a larger fragment of the all spark to give to Megatron, they still needed parts for him to completely be repaired... But any Autobot would've sacrificed their parts for Prime.


- And for this ... That reminds me: even if I were to forgive the Doctor's German accent -- and director Michael Bay is asking me to forgive a lot of ridiculous accents -- why would a robot need glasses? He has little lenses that flip in front of his mechanical eyes. Couldn't he just get his eyes adjusted? You'd think with all the laser guns, someone could perform a Lasik procedure.

-> What is the point of Perceptor in the cartoon series? He's a GIANT MICROSCOPE.

LoL yeah I was thinking about a lot of those as well. I start to wonder that if it wasn't directed by Michael Bay, and the movie looked the same way, would people still react this negative to the movie? In most of the negative reviews I have read all mention something terrible about Michael Bay...I could care less who directed it though, I was pretty entertained by the movie. Regardless of what critics have said and other negative reviews, it still made a ridiculous amount of money lol.

You people kind of forget they found out how to penetrate the armor of the transformers in the first film with Scorp's tail. I can only assume they keep that ammo for stuff like this and why they had normal soldiers out there with the NEST teams.

7. Sam, Mikaela, and Simmons (John Turturro) go to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C. to find Jetfire. Then they walk out the back onto a wide open field with old planes and mountains in the distance. When did the National Mall start to look so much like to Tucson, AZ

Author of this website is an idiot because the Air & Space Museum in the movie isn't on the National Mall at all, it's about 40 miles away on the grounds of Dulles International Airport.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with being a Transformers geek!

That being said...I still have yet to pick up the RotF based comics, are they any good? Same as the first movie's tie in comics, worse or better?

5 on the way down, 1 was ripped apart to add to megatron leaving 4, but there was the little one that came out of the other one, so that makes 5, and with megatron that makes 6. I find it kind of funny that people are picking this movie apart when other movies had the same, if not more inconsistencies this movie.

Burning Questions: The 10 Most Confusing Things in 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen'

Just for the hell of it:

Spoiler: show

1) Could have easily been covered up as a massive terrorist attack by an unnamed source and those who witnessed it be passed off as crazies. Since there was no communications active at the time no one would be able to send any information or such, making it easy to round up any visual records of the fight.

2) As pointed out, they needed parts to repair Megs, but none of the bot's would be sacrificed so coldly. Plus from the time Prime died to the time they met up in the desert, Sam was no where near them. He was evacuated and hidden away before Prime could be safely recovered.

3) While somewhat of a plot hole, I chalk the mystery 6th bot up to being Blackout, the chopper, being brought back to life. He was dead near megs too and it's possible he was rebuilt as well. It would explain why he appeared right after Megs came back and followed him and Starscream around.

4) Ignoring the accent bit, as Transformers have always had some accents, you don't need to wear glasses because you have poor eye sight. It could have easily been an external scanner or simple magnification device. Plus, it was pretty damn cool.

5) Pretenders, Transformers disguised as humans/organic beings, is an old G1 concept. So the idea is certainly not new, but the execution was. And who said metal robots had to be heavy? Frenzy was made of metal but could be carried effortlessly by a stewardess. Different compositions for different functions.

6) This one is difficult to actually answer unless you start delving into TF lore, which is foggy at best. Especially concerning the movie-verse.

7 and 8 are spot on though

9) Sam was, for all intents and purposes, connected to the Allspark already. Through that connection, and his efforts to willingly sacrifice his life to save those of others, on the brink of death he had a vision. Something a lot of people claim to have on the brink of death. It's just that his was of Prime's past, who saw his deeds and rewarded him justly.

10) Mikaela, we watch her wrap his hand. Trapped in a pocket dimension iirc, I think this was explained in the comics. Satellite's bounce tons of info from one to the other, Soundwave found the right one, attached himself too it and controlled it to be able to gather info from all other satellites. Bad humor. Worse humor. Some say Decepticon protoforms who scanned similar alt modes, I say bad directing and a cheap way to get more bots in the film. Because the Government are dicks and think the only reason why there is fighting is because the Autobots are there. Because ancient, primitive humans saw this giant construct of unknown origins and worshiped it, building a pyramid to protect it from outsiders. G1 Homage? As he says with a screenshot of Mikaela's nice white pants covered in dirt sitting next to his comments.

So really, of the "10" questions, 7 were easily answered.

I agree, but also there is Rachael Taylor (The Australian Analyst) from the first film...I wish she was in this movie, but heard she turned down the role. Both her and Isabel Lucas are light years ahead of Megan Fox.
