I'm back from Voting. There was a HUGE line of kids going into the Cafeteria, but there was only one line of voters in the Library, the line consisted of one person and me. Was in and out in 10 mins. I voted all Democrat, and if no DEMs, then I voted LIBs, and if only REPs, then I didn't vote.

Yeah i heard the same. "The hope people are hoping for today, is not getting killed or beat up by Black panthers" It is just as believable as KKK members as Poll watchers standing outside with Nooses.

I think the college was a good idea when we had few states... but now it just seems out of place given that some of the smaller states give more electoral votes than others.

Electoral votes are based on Senate seats, and House of Rep seats in a state.
House of Rep seats are based on census populations.

So, no, "smaller" states are not given more electoral votes than others.

Arrived at my polling location at 7AM and got out at 8:40AM. Not too bad of a wait since the line was wrapped around the entire building, and then some.

Although I do prefer Obama to McCain, I have to wonder sometimes if anyone voted for him for the wrong reasons. lol

I feel Obama is the right candidate because of his stance on the issues, but I do see helping to break a huge racial barrier with my vote as a bonus. Undoubtedly some people will vote for him just because of his race just as some will vote against him for the same reason.

Also I was right with my prediction, heavily partisan state + going around 11pm = no lines. One of the poll workers did say there had been lines that morning though.

Oh im willing to bet that more than 50% of his votes attribute to him being black, that hes 'the cool/hip guy to vote for', or that he's been throwing around the most cash in presidental history to appear on tv and make apperances (the reverse of out of sight, out of mind), and not any of his issues.

Obama is a Terrorist, Muslim, Wants to end Christian Churches, will raise everyones taxes, etc...
