Firefox is a Fork off of Mozilla that was a suit software package that included email, web page editor and some other things. Mozilla then got repackaged as SeaMonkey that I still use on my personal computer because I like having everything from one program. I assume the Mozilla listed there includes SeaMonkey.

Also keep in mind that the numbers for BG are probably inflated due to that whole www.somepage mess last year or so.

IE was just plain awful in dealing with that problem, and it caused lots of grief 'round these parts. Firefox was a great answer to that problem, then you add that it's a free browser with a huge amount of easy-to-install add-ins, and honestly, why everyone isn't using it is beyond me.

This one time like 10 years ago me and my friend skipped school and went to the mall and they had a display with thousands of CDs there with a big FREE sign. Needless to say we took all of the CDs (piled them up in a wheelchair) and put them in the back seat of his car. I got bored on the ride home since we lived in the middle of nowhere and I started unwrapping them and sliding them onto his car antenna. By the time we got home there was hundreds of them on there, and when we were on the backroad he lived on he sped up really fast and those CDs started getting air under them and flying off the antenna one by one like little UFOs.

Was funny as hell until we had to go find them all before someone was like WTF why is there a line of hundreds AOL CDs down the middle of the road....... Oh to be young again.

The other thousand or so are all strung up on a cable sitting in my old bedroom closet at my parents house. Was pretty funny about 5 years ago when my dad called me when he was redoing the room to ask why I had like 1000+ AOL CDs on a cable in my otherwise empty old closet and if he could get rid of them. I laughed so hard couldn't part with them so I had him put them in the garage.

TLDR version: God damn its fun being 15-18 yrs old and doing dumb shit with your friends!

Lol, I did something like that too. I took all the AoL CD's and as they came, slowly but surely made a giant fish on my wall with it. Sadly, I no longer have shots of it and I gave it to a friend when they moved away to remember me by, since we had done it together.

Only reason why I use IE still is because of AKO and CAC cards. Firefox is very finicky with the smart card reader, and rather then waste so much time trying to make it work, Ill just use IE for it.

There are some websites though that will not work for Firefox, that will work for IE. THe Army is always making sites that only work for IE. The DOIM (bunch of fags that are the internet Nazis for the Army) view Firefox as a security threat. Let me just give you a perspective of how dumb they can be. The consider the pictures on Wikipedia (which are currently blocked by firewall) a security threat, where as they keep torrent sites like PirateBay unblocked.

This is one of the exact same reason i use IE right now as well. If you can manage to get on to AKO through FF and go on the forums, it wont even let you leave a post. I do use both though but ever since i started going on AKO a lot i've pretty much stuck to IE.

I hate having to use IE at work but there are too many things we use here that just don't work 100% in Firefox. And being in the IT department I try not to be like our users and think I can do whatever I want and IT will support it anyways! I do still bug my director about being allowed to also use Firefox about once a month.
IMO, there is no reason that anything should only work right through IE and not Firefox, or any browser for that matter.
