What does income + shit you bought in the past have to do with what the fuck we're talking about? If you bought too much shit in the past that NOW you need the money to pay, that's your own fucking fault and you need to fall back on my previous argument of "don't buy shit your pocket can't handle".
Just out of curiosity, really this is not meant to be negative but why did you decide to buy three vehicles for yourself when your parents are struggling?
I personally as soon as I can am going to be helping out my father with anything he needs and if I was in your situation would have stuck with one vehicle and put the rest of the money to better use.
i wish i could work for myself ;_;
I make like 15k a year at MAX and I live well.
Lets see..
Rent: $750 a month (I pay half of that, so $375)
Car: Paid off.
Car Insurance: $90/month (Gogo car accidents!)
Internet: $40 a month
WoW: $14 a month
Gas: $150 ish a month
gas/etc: paid in rent.
Electric: $60/m usually.. depends on season
Food: $150 a month because I eat at school alot, shit is pricey.
Health Insurance: 75/week
Cell phone: $60/m
I think that's everything..
edit: I totally don't make that a year, the fuck? I do free lance web design shit, so money is hard to predict.
This argument is going in a weird, and very stupid direction.
"Hay here's my anectodal evidence therefore it must be true that the absolute line for middle class is XXX,XXX dollars per year!"
The demographic research paints a picture of the 'average' household, which is a fiction. And that's why we let states handle their own poverty problems, since where the needle is pointing at on a more local level is a better measure of who does and doesn't need gub'mint help for things.
Churchill what you fail to see is that the point is that the situation your parents are in *should* be the middle class, that should be living fine.
The problem is that it's not, they're very well off compared to *most* Americans.
Their situation should be the norm, not the top 15%.
Oh, and I said the people working sunrise to sunset every day are the ones that really make America work because they make the food, without their work, we go hungry.
I think the point I started trying to make was how weird it was that people making >90% of america consider themselves middle class, when the reality is that they're much more comfortable than most.
This discussion sucks, let's talk about how Sarah Palin is even more of a gigantic fuck up than her campaigners led on
Palin Didn't Know Africa Is A Continent, Says Fox News Reporter (VIDEO)
Now that the 2008 election is over, reporters are spilling all the juciest, and previously off the record, gossip from the campaign trail. Much of it is about the infighting between Palin and McCain's staff, as Newsweek's treasure trove of post-election gossip reveals. However, perhaps one of the most astounding and previously unknown tidbits about Sarah Palin has to do with her already dubious grasp of geography. According to Fox News Chief White House Correspondent Carl Cameron, there was great concern within the McCain campaign that Palin lacked "a degree of knowledgeability necessary to be a running mate, a vice president, a heartbeat away from the presidency," in part because she didn't know which countries were in NAFTA, and she "didn't understand that Africa was a continent, rather than a series, a country just in itself."
I kinda lied, I have a job. It's only 20 hours a week. I only have it because I enjoy having dental/vision/health come out of someone elses pocket. Working for yourself doesn't have to be a "wish" or "maybe someday" thing. It is not THAT HARD. Write your plan down on paper, shit happens when it isn't floating about in your head.
My brother (20) just started his second business working with vendors and suppliers for companies. His first business was a music thing called "Textures Music Group LLC" or something like that.
I don't have a "business" persay (no business license or business cards, lulz), but I work my own hours and make as little or as much as I want. Sometimes I fuck around for the entire month and make just enough to pay bills and keep the fridge & cupboards stocked. Some months I work my ass off and make ridiculous amounts of money.
I read somewhere else that a few Romney people working for McCain are trying to ruin her credibility for '12.
Palin Once Greeted McCain Staff Wearing Only A Towel
fucking lol, I hope this is true.
Palin Once Greeted McCain Staff Wearing Only A Towel
edit, the newsweek article has all the juicy gossip:

Africa isn't a continent. It's AIDS manifesting itself into a new form of life.
Do you still stand by your statement that she was the best pick that mccain could've made?
In retrospect, I think romney would've been his best shot. there wouldn't have been such a huge post-convention swing, but I think it would have been a sustainable bounce rather than a bubble.
He would've helped on economic issues and in the geography of michigan and mountain west. I also doubt he would have had epic fail at "what newspapers do you read?"
It wouldn't have been easy, but republicans wouldn't have been scared of a romney presidency.
