That's a well written article, but Ayers is still too far. It's clear reading that, that if he thought he could get away with it, he'd do the same things now as he did during Vietnam, and no matter how deep you're trying to get that Obama cock down, bombing the government is not ok.

Which is what annoys me about all of this. He's being touted as being some revolutionary person who's going to change the US, when in reality the only thing different about him is his skin colour, in relation to Clinton, and the fact that he's smarter than Clinton.

Don't get me wrong, he has potential, because he can listen, but all signs point to disappointment with his presidency, more so if people don't understand that you don't get real change by voting for the politician that says he can give it to you.

And by real change i mean something other than tax cuts.

Obama's intelligence/mind is a lot different than Clinton's, reading the Newsweek expose of the election this week, most of the early people to support/push Obama's candidacy think that he is much more self aware and critical of himself, how he thinks, and better at critical analysis of how others think now, then Bill Clinton ever was as President or even is now. I'd agree that Clinton is extremely book smart perhaps even more so then Obama, but as a counterpoint Obama doesn't suffer from Clinton's problem as some people have put it of always having to be the smartest kid in the classroom. I mean look at all the intellectual heavyweights Obama is able to talk to without feeling at all inferior.

Along those same lines, Obama is not a black Clinton merely in terms of their rise to power either. As it is put in Primary Colors, Bill Clinton has been "collecting" and culminating friendships ever since he was a kid that he has used to get where he is whereas Obama doesn't seem to have done the same. I mean sure on the surface he is bringing in all these Chicago people to run his campaign and now Presidency like Clinton did with Arkansas people. However, I think Obama is bringing in people who can help him govern in an organized and efficient manner, he has never collected people, and if anything he has been quick to stab those who helped him rise in the back (there was a huge article about it in the New Yorker with the satirical cover of him and Michelle this summer). Whereas with Clinton alot of the people he brought in were those he had collected over the years and who largely did not always like eachother, hence the relative organized chaos that Clinton operates in.

It's all perspective and labels.

American revolutionists were freedom fighters.

They stole weapons and bombed British ships and outposts in the name of freedom. They broke the rules of engagement and fought in an unprecedented tactic of using guerrilla warfare.

To the British they were extremist separatist terrorists.
