congress almost always has a lower rating than the president, and the rating for the congress as a whole is almost always in conflict with the individual ratings of congressmen and senators.

what's become a common conservative talking point about the current congress because lolworthy considering how many seats the democrats just picked up. i'd really advise dropping this talking point entirely, lol.

What makes Congress so untrustworthy is the fact that it is composed of people other than the ones you voted for. Hence that.

Plus, let's be frank here, how many people actually pay attention to Congress more so than the president? When we have elections, who gets most if not all the attention? Let's have some perspective here.

I know that I'm pretty aware of my Senators and their positions, as well as my representatives in my area. Then again I make the effort to find out who they are and what they stand for.

Bush: 'I regret saying some things I shouldn't have said'

Take what you want from it, but I'm happy to hear him say this. Not saying it at all makes up for the things his administration has done, but it's something.

Obama has already said he would investigate people in the Bush admin. Curious to see how he is going to do that and bring us all together.

Uh, an overwhelming majority of the country doesn't like the Bush Administration, it should bring us together quite nicely.

I think an investigation into what potentially was really, really wrong with the Bush admin would help people of all creeds get past it. Not to mention, figuring out what to fix is nice when you need to fix it.

Unless they consider all investigations THOSE DAMN LIBERALS SULLYING A GREAT PUBLIC LEADER. Given how some people are reacting to Obama just being elected, I do anticipate resistance to everything he could possibly do, no matter if they would otherwise support it or not.

Bush will not be tried. The pursuit would be noble but futile.

Obama is actually an assassin tasked with getting into direct contact with the president away from his bodyguards.

You don't like liberal policies? There's many reasons conservatives are mad at him though. Most have nothing to do with why liberals are mad at him.

attempting to find something now to try bush on when he wasn't impeached at all is laughable and a total waste of time/money/resources.

Repeal his shit and move on - it's not like congress had nothing to do with it.

It's not that I don't like liberal policies but abuse of power and poor military strategy/fiscal strategy is not liberal or conservative. There are many reasons ALL americans are mad at him and his administration. Is politicizing the Justice Department something conservatives arent mad at him for? Is the Patriot Act something real conservatives aren't mad about? Is the Valerie Plame incident not something all Americans should be mad about regardless of their political orientatioon? My point is that there is enough common ground on why Americans dislike his administration that legal investigations wouldnt cause partisan bickering outside of talking heads like Limbaugh, Oreilly and Hannity.
