McCain's speech was a good speech because he really toned down the rhetoric, and urged people to get behind and support the new president elect.

I found Obama's speech a little long and relied too much on campaign slogans.. I find this surprising because I'm sure Obama knew he had this election in the bag, as a McCain supporter I was ready to be amazed by Obama's speech, however it still felt like he was trying to get people to vote for him-- but the election is over..

Both my republican parents are pretty annoyed at the moment. I've argued a bit with them back and forth, taking either a democratic or libertarian view when doing so. I'm going to see if what they call the "Socialist Candidate" is going to be a good or bad president. If he does a good job I'm rubbing it in their faces for a long-ass time.

On a side note- how do you think the Republican party is going to reform in order to get more acceptance again? Considering the massive swing in all elected branches in the government, they're going to have to at least modify SOME of their stances...
