No if you really want to go deeper, we should be staging from carriers in the Persian Gulf and Indian Ocean and hitting these targets just the same. You'll never find me supporting the occupation and rebuilding of countries like Iraq and Afghanistan, but you will see me support the hunting of people like Abu Ghadiyah.
Al Qaeda is an international organization by the way. It'd be naive to think that they only operate from and in Afghanistan/Pakistan. Therefore, any country that allows Al Qaeda safe haven is fair game for ignoring it's sovereignty. This is only a regurgitation of Obama's planned "doctrine" for Al Qaeda or "America's Enemies".One United States official described Abu Ghadiya as Al Qaeda
Btw you're misrepresenting what Obama said he said he would act if Pakistan failed to act he didn't mention any other country. so I seriously don't know where the fuck you got "America's Enemies" from

U.S. airstrike killed key Al Qaeda figure in Pakistan, officials say - Los Angeles Times
Do some more searching, there have been a lot of cross border strikes in the news lately, all of them key figures. Mohammed Moumou was killed in Iraq though.
Oh wait, so if Syria failed to act to get Al Qaeda (9/11 perpetrators a.k.a. "America's Enemies" in Obama's eyes) if they were operating and commanding within its borders, you're saying he wouldn't do anything (Just because it isn't Pakistan)? It's the same thing and it's quite dumb of you not to assume the obvious.
This shit happens on a regular basis, but the only difference is here, was it wasn't a covert operation. The military and the CIA stage operations like this all the time, but you don't hear about it.
Pretty much this.
I'm about as anti-Iraq war as anyone could possibly be, but at the same time if we're going to try to purge us some terrerists, and they're using national borders to attempt to foil our purging, then...well...fuck the borders sometimes, just don't...screw up badly. (yes, I know that saying "don't screw up badly" to the U.S. Military = famous last words, but still)
I found it amusing that Obama was getting shit from McCain for basically saying he'd do the exact same thing along the Afghanistan/Pakistan border.
i dont give a shit about syria
those are my thoughts, bitch
The only reason the US can do this is because it has the strongest military in the world, which is why it's doing it. There's little prudence here nor is this an action taken with much consideration of the anti American sentiments it may cause; just a very poignant display of military supremacy.
G.W bush needs to get the fucking out now!
Obama would probably do no different.
