As for comparisons to fast food shenanigans, this isn't pissing in someone's drink at the drive through, this is getting their name/CC info off the receipt, finding their address, and sending them a "special treat" to apologize for the poor service they received.

I wasn't making the comparison that they tracked them down, but rather that they went out of their way to give them a free bowl of ice cream as opposed to just spitting in a drink they ordered as they were making it. It was a special delivery after the initial opportunity passed.
