Accidently changed a video setting i think. Was cleaning controller all the sudden screen got weird colored my dumb first thing to do was turn off the 360. Now my 360 has a black screen i can hear audio and it makes a fuzzy thing when it starts up then the rest is in black. I'm just curious if anyone knows what I changed and how to change it back with a black screen.

Is the cable plugging into the back of your Xbox 360 set to the right setting? There's a little switch on it that will change the output depending on what it's moved to.

That's fine yea it is. I'm assuming i did something when I was cleaning the controller and buttons and etc

You can try holding Y when turning it on and it should return things to default.

Also try connecting it to another television to see what happens

Its not working again D:
Did it without the hard drive it worked. Did it with it worked but had fuzzy colors. Restarted it again now its back to the black screen

Change what settings you can while it is working

I dont know what setting to change. I went to display and all there was were HDTV options. It said I was on standard TV though but it said 420p :/

420 or 480? 480 is standard CRT settings as far as I know. What'd you mean without the hard drive btw?

this same exact thing happened to me two weeks ago and I bourght it in to gamestop and had em look at it... guess what my problem was?

the HDMI cable got loose. don't ask me HOW it happened at the exact same time the video settings changed. But I think if the HDMI cable isnt secure, and you change video settings, then it won't work. So go check ur cord!
