Ix'drg broken?

Disclaimer: yes I know this mob is really random; I've popped it enough to know. This issue is well beyond its typical randomness.

So, me and several linkshells have been trying to pop ix'drg for over a week now, going up there everyday. We've sent several groups up there, wiping multiple rooms for roughly 8-10 hours a day all week. No other shell has been able to pop it either. We've never had this kind of trouble with drg in the past. Has anyone else been able to pop this mob at all in the last week, or did SE break something?

Try having a group in each room? Maybe the ph moved to a room that just repopped and by the time you get back to that room it just moved again?

Tried that already, set a party in each room on a few runs, still no luck at all.

I don't know then, but I suggest not calling a GM, they'll just tell you they can't discuss game mechanics and waste your time.

If you're trying to get xp on blm he'll pop right away. If you're trying to spawn him, he won't spawn at all.

No kidding. I hate going there to get XP (with hope to get Ix'DRG in say an hour) to have him pop 3rd kill.

The one time I felt Id be sneaky and pop my exp ring while farming him so I can get a nice little buffer on BLM... He poped 4x in 9 room clears. So 4 Ix'drg in about 3 hours...

Needless to say when we finished I had to go solo to finish my ring..

Murphy's Law will kick in if you pop and exp band!

Seems to be a gigantic douche as of late, haven't seen him pop in 30+ hours of farming. Felt like it used to be way easier to pop him, but yeah last 3 months pop rate seems to have floored.

You're not the only one having problems with ix'drg as of late. I'm just going to assume that it's just bad luck overall.

The last 2 times I've killed it, it's dropped cape, then deed. lolcape when the people who want/need the cape aren't online, which is the other general rule about ix'drg.

I almost feel Ix'Drk is like Ramparts in Salvage. If you get him once, you probably can get him a few times in the same night. If you don't see him for 1.5-2 hours, just go do somthing else.

Although I still go by the rule, if you want him to pop, use an exp ring, and he will pop -.-.

I think the most efficient way to farm the Ix'drg is to only farm him for a maximum of 2 hours. Do it every time you're in sea just send like 5 blm's to farm for him. If he doesn't spawn after 2 hours you could be spending the rest of the night there. Every time we've camped him he's either popped within an hour or not at all (Not saying that the game works this way, but due to many people hating themselves after getting nothing for 2 hours, it's best to try your luck elsewhere)

Thats basically what we do, we always have a group of BLMs off doing DRG while we focus on Temp / Drk. Then we have Pop item farming days where we do Faith/Fort/Mnk

Works well, pretty efficent, if we have a large turn out some times we have 3 groups if not a 4th farming M.Chips + A.Organs
