Why bother using the song when it never fucking lands on ANY of the mobs that it would be useful for? (It lands on chariots but that still pretty hard to stick.)

Seriously I never will understand how I can cast Elegy practically naked and land it while I have all my gear up + Soul Voice and still get resisted on Requiem. SE really needs to reconsider resist rates on Requiem. Not EVERY monster in the game can be extremely resistant to Light based spells.

Yeah, this annoys me too. It's not even that these mobs have high light resist (since often Lullaby sticks easily), SE just seems to have decided that Requiem is such an overpowered spell that they need to make many mob families immune to it.

It only sticks when you accidentally hit your requiem macro in a situation where you wouldn't want it to stick because of sleep purposes.

Accuracy of this spell is directly related to people saying "NO DOT" in chat/vent.

A good 75% of mages in my LS have learned this the hard way by accidentally DoTing Ouryu. I've long since taken out all of my DoT macros. If I ever decide to put them back, my set is going to be structured around being idiot-proof as far as DoT is concerned, though I can't really see this happening unless I level RDM or SCH.

I used to live on the edge with my Poison macros a row below my Sleep ones in the same spot, I am no longer that brave in my old age.

I still keep mine macroed...but as a <stnpc> with an echo before hand saying "reqiuem...you sure you want to do this?"
It's worked...that and it's macroed in a place I can't hit w/o using both hands. got to <3 little hands.

Poison2 is the same spot as Bind, one palette lower... you can imagine how many times that's bitten me in the ass... but it's been this way so many years, I don't even feel like changing it at this point, heh.
