It is pretty clear that either his intent was to cause trouble and bait people into fighting or cause problems, or he was really ignorant and did not realize that walking into an entire crowd of people that are politically charged is not a smart idea wearing a t-shirt that expresses your difference from them.

The police were trying to avoid a situation and by not listening to them when they asked him to leave they had grounds to take him into custody. This is standard practice for any situation and has nothing to do with his stupid t-shirt. They probably did not even hold him for long.

People always blow the stupidest shit out of proportion during and right after an election. People did the same kinds of things after Bush was elected.

Thats not the case, actually if you look at it its also an opposite view, i've heard TONS of reports of obama supporters doing the exact same thing to McCain/Palin signs. What happened there was wrong, period, and it does show how our country is going to be run for the next 4 years, which is a bit sickening.
