When I heard of The Fall of Troy, I took my last $30 and bought both Doppelganger and Manipulator. I hope those guys go far.
only been to their show once and he did sing it. Also heard a rumor that they didn't edit it out of rb2 is it true? funny if it was.
I hate the holidays.
Not much of a rant, but whatever.
CONSUMER WHORE FAGGOTS!
its not necessarily that new music is awful by default (i'd probably argue that most of it has always been garbage but i am on the gin and that is a bit too broad to tackle). the issue is that the signal:noise ratio has been getting much, much worse over the last 5-10 years. there are worthwhile things coming out now and again, but the amount of effort required to come across them requires wading through a staggering amount of derivative garbage. meanwhile that rare gem almost always fails to even match its predecessors, and just about never surpasses.
Fuck that. I would have awarded bonus points.
oh another good one is Jonathan Davis practically calling out his mom for his abusive father then comes the 5 mins of nonstop sobbing. FOR A WHOLE FUCKING TRACK
I'm pretty sure M.I.A. has sold quite a few albums, especially after pineapple express.
buying albums is alright, but shit just go to shows. selling a bunch of albums tends to lead to big-label contracts and all that bullshit, and quality tends to taper off... for a lot of bands it's frankly better to keep them humble in the eyes of the record industry.
Legal forms. Fuck. End.
I hate how I can't find any sources on an apparent famous piece of art. I hate it when a teacher turns a history class into an art history class. Art is cool and all, but this isn't the class I signed up for.
