Does anyone actually think this is a good idea? Or just a way to wring money out of the industry?

Personally: as long as it's only sports games, not a big deal.

All their doing is putting their titles on another platform basicaly, whats the problem with that? The whole point in publishing and developing games is to make money, so sure its another way for them to make more.

In before standard I hate EA response shovelware bla blah blah, I know they pull some shit in the past on games, DLC etc. I wasnt a fan for a long time but titles like Dead Space and Mirror's Edge have changed my opinon somewhat.

Im perfectly ok with companies looking at new ventures to make money, it gives them more money to develop and publish more games, esp with our shittastic economy more companies will find new and intresting ways to make money.

PocketStation was so successful, EA decided to make you buy one that costs 200 bucks + whatever the software for it costs.
