i want to start all over with a new POL ID and everything.. i still have my ps2 disc that still works and my PC disc that still works for FFXI. but the question i wanted to ask is:



does SE have a 1 POL ID for each registration code?

say i wanna make a character with the same disc and stuff i had for a previous POL ID, can i do it or is it a new policy to buy a new game for every brand new POL ID you want to create?



or with the new 14 day free trial, im able to make a new character/ID/ etc and just have to put my CD i alrdy have in my machine (PS@ or PC) to verify?





please help

By POL ID, you meant POL Handles or Content ID?

Yes, 1 registration code = 1 account(POL ID is free afaik). You should be able to use trial codes with the CD's you have but at the end of trial period you'll have to input your payment info to make it a full account. Are you planning to create a second account, independent from your main?

And as far as I know, trial does not include the codes for expansions(need someone to confirm this). In that case, you should simply buy 08 collection(you can buy it online and use the codes with the client you have). That'd probably be cheaper.

I'm guessing no, bought a 1 month trial disc a month before they were offering the trial, that only comes with the code for the game & POL, so I had to buy expansion codes through POL or buy the 08 collection. Went for the first option because I'm lazy and didn't want to walk back into town.
Can't buy WotG codes yet for some reason, not that I care right now as I don't touch it on my main account, see no need for it on my new one.

Weeeeeeeeeeell, I'm curious why your interested in distancing your old and new accounts.

Because I think you may have just worded it odd, Having said that; your old keys only work once. In this case, with your current account. You HAVE to have a new set of keys to create a 2nd account. So if you where looking to start over w/o deleting your current characters and without paying another account/new game fee; no soup for you.

If you're asking if you can use your old disks for the downloads then yes, but you need new codes.
If that's what you're asking.
But if you wanna use the same codes and same disks doesn't work like that. New accounts = new codes
