    My name is actually one I've used online since my early days on MUDs. I choose San d'Oria because my friends who were playing were from there. I wanted to play a mage and decided Tarutaru would be the best.

    On a side note, I choose random answers for my npc (other than choosing a Tarutaru name) and he ended up with the same exact avatar as I have.

    Name: Gwynplaine is the main character of a Victor Hugo novel I had read.

    Race: Hume, because I had no experience with each job I wanted to accommodate for any job I might choose long term. Plus I wanted to choose RDM which is balanced as I understood it.

    Job: I wanted to be Redmage because it sounded like they were allowed the most independence later on. I think I was right, and I'm glad I picked it.

    Nation: Bastok because the style of the culture appealed to me. San d'Oria is like some kind of European ghetto knock-off with horrendous bagpipe music, and Windurst is a magical forest inhabited by gross chipmunk-man people.

    Telliani's RPG character name for an elf from like 1998, when i started playing D&D, so of course I went with elvaan, if elf race is an option, I always ALWAYS go with it.. First played on my husband's account, then got my own a few weeks later. Sometimes wish I stuck with the white braid wrapped about head, but I liked the black hanging over face look. Though I think it looks great with rdm hat.

    My friends call me Smelli, or skellitor *sigh* And when ever we get together to go to the zoo or somewhere, we stick with our game names if we're not thinking about it >_>

    Sandoria, cause when I played beta it was taru rdm in windy, and I always got lost.

    I chose Mangochips...well... because I like Mangos? lol....

    I'm a Mithra from sandy, didn't want to be but my friend got me into this game and needed a silver haired mithra for some Sandy quest. Wanted to be Male elvaan or Hume =/

    Name: Creative writing project back in middle school. In coming up with a character's surname, I wanted to reference the color red while keeping within the constraint of the story (Feudal Japan). Akaneiro = madder red. Akane is mostly a female's given name, so I cut it to Akanei, instead. Used it for online things ever since.

    Race: Hume. Hate elves, hate midgets, hate galka. Wanted a male character. Tall because nobody really seems to use tall characters.

    Nation: Bastok, because I wanted the ring.

    Job: Dragoon, because it was my favorite job class in FFT.

    Elvaan because Elf chicks are awesome. I was going to be a male Elvaan, but didn't like any of their character models.

    Corin because Sleater-Kinney is one of my favorite bands. I tried a lot of names, but Corin was the first one that was free.

    Sandy because I wanted a ring.

    If I had to do it over again, I'd pick a more balanced race, especially now that I'm playing a Red Mage. But I log on like, once a month anyway? If that. So it doesn't really matter.

    Race: Mithra stats were well rounded and I was a girly girl. Wanted a cute cat character.

    Name: Airenn - Airen in chinese means 'my beloved' I started using it a lot around that time and wanted this character to be special to me. So I went with what wasn't taken - Airenn with two n's. I like the nickname Renn that I got from, it, too!

    Job: Red Mage - I knew that it's what I wanted and wuold continue it. I cared about nothing else really, and didn't care for subs until I realized I had to.

    Nation: I wanted to be in a Kingdom. Windy was fuckin large and annoying. I liked the music, scenery and people in Sandy. And I probably didn't choose Bastok cause of the Galka's, I am not going to lie.

    I started on my boyfriend-at-the-time's account with a Mithra in Sandoria named Airenn. Once I realized I would beplaying this game heavily, I grabbed my own copy, and deleted the original.

    Started over as everything, the same, because it just seemed perfect. Still love my girl, my job, and my nation.

    I didn't know anything about MMOs at all and thought it was just another FF game, but just online.

    Job: Red Mage because I was like what kinda FF game doesn't have a sword swinging magic caster? (started playing from FFVII)

    Name: Ninjafox - the name I usually use is KAOS, but that was taken. Around when I started playing, I was heavily into Naruto so this name popped in my head.

    Nation: Bastok because it had a blue flag lol. (Later switched to sandy cuz I wanted to do all 3 nations)

    That's how I got started with this game, I started out thinking... "Ok this is gonna be easy just fight monsters lvl with others when needed ( when I thoght War's could solo >.>) and I'll be just fine."
    Didn't turn out like that lol.
    Endded up trying out five different servers in all till I got Pandy and got into a good LS. And yea during my first year of playing I'd get shit about my name and being a female char but didn't care I was having fun ^^
    Now I'm not gonna lie Pandy has it's fair share of drama, asshat ppl, and rmt.
    But I love it.
    At the moment getting rank 10 all nations but when I'm done gonna go back to Sandy for both chars. Just love the city and alot of good memeories there
    And I never did explan my Drg 75 on Wingy (onewingedangel)....well working on Sepihroth a good friend of mine named Sickvic would help me out alot whenever I needed, adv. jobs, missions quests, af....whatever, and you can guess his job . Yes it's Drg I just loved the Drg class from other FF games and wanted to lvl it, even more so after seeing Drg solo and then seeing the relic for it.
    So guess you could say Sick was like my Drg mentor ^^

    Name: RL Name romanticized. Pretty much the first thing that came to mind, and the fact I've been using it as an online alias for some time now.

    Race: Tarutaru, was influenced by the fact I wanted to be a mage and I hated the mp pool of other races (paid for it in hp, but thought at the time HP wouldn't matter that much for a mage). In hindsight I wish I picked a different face other than the ponytail, mainly for some reason people think my character is a girl... Someone did explain my name sounds close to the Japanese name for sister, so that might also not help.

    Nation: Windurst for the Ring, and I figured it was the better choice between stuck up Elvaan and dirty Humes. I still have that ring.

    Job: Red Mage, since I originally wanted to be a mage that wasn't too mp dependent. Not that I get to swing a weapon anymore outside of campaign or solo, but that's why I picked it >.>. Even after BLU came out, I just couldn't get into it due to the learning system kind of sucking, and I figured I'd be better off focusing on properly gearing one job than splitting my attention on two, especially since I still hadn't even gotten Rdm to 75 at the time.

    Seeko, Windurstrian Mithra

    Mithra: I choose Mithra because my play style leans strongly toward dex/agi based jobs, and at the time, I thought that base stats would make all the difference in the world.

    Windurst: My friend who had been playing before I started (and quit within a week after I started) told me that I should start in Windurst because that was the easiest area to make money in starting out (beehive chips/silk thread/saruta cotton/etc.). I also wanted the home nation ring >.>

    Seeko: I'm horrible at picking names...so I was sitting there thinking "what sort of name would be good for a female cat character?" About that time, I looked around my room and saw my cat...named Seeko.

    story of that name: My wife could not for the life of her pronounce Seiko correctly, as I had just given her a watch of that brand. She always said "See-ko" instead of "Say-ko." We both kind of liked it when we adopted our cat)

    Name because I thought Hank was easy to remember, would be funny to see among a sea of random fantasy names, and because a Taru named Hank is very funny to me. Taru because they're adorable. Black Mage because they did a lot of damage. Windurst because of the ring and the tarus.

    Gandorf
    Name: Just got done playing Ww.
    Race: First two characters I lved were taru and hume and I thought elvaans looked cool.
    Nation: Bastok because other characters were from windy and sandy.

    Stranger
    Name: first character only got it too lv 4 but I got the name from some oddworld game I was playing.
    Race: Humefemale. I picked female because someone told me people would give me free stuff.
    Nation: Sandy because I thought it looked cool.

    Megaman
    Name: Favorite character ever. Second character I ever made but used it for a mule after I deleted Stranger and made gandorf. Gandorf was supposed to be my original mule but I lved much faster outside bastok that I just kept gandorf as my main.
    Race: taru
    nation: windy

    Okay, I'm putting off doing homework so I'm going to discuss the names of all my mules now.

    Luzbell (HUME M, Bastok): started as my ex-husband's original character until he got his own account. I couldn't bear to give Aksannyi up after I made her, even though he made Luzbell first, he let me have the account and he got a new one. I don't know where he got the name from. PURPOSE: Jeuno mule, Crystal storage.

    Luz: (TARUTARU F, Windurst): Luz was just shortened from Luzbell. She was originally going to be a shared mule for my ex and I, but when we split accounts she just became mine. PURPOSE: Random junk/craft materials mule.

    Naalani: (ELVAAN F, Sandy): Another name I made up. I think this one had been mulling about in my head for a while, and when I finally decided I needed another mule, I made this name. I think it sounds very pretty. PURPOSE: Random gear mule.

    Lalitevan: (ELVAAN M, Bastok): My children are called Lalito and Evan. I combined the names to make Lalitevan. I also have two Mog Bonanza marbles on him, which have their two birthdays. I'll never toss them. PURPOSE: Mining and ore storage mule.

    ~~~ SECOND ACCOUNT ~~~
    Yamila: (MITHRA, Sandy): Another name I made up. I think when I made her I wanted to have a Y name. I thought the name was creative until I found an NPC in Jeuno whose name is almost the same, except with two Ls. PURPOSE: Secondary character, though I haven't really leveled her yet.
    Ricekrispies (TARUTARU M, Bastok): My boyfriend is Cerealkiller, and a lot of his mules have cereal names. This one is in homage to him. Plus, he's fucking cute as hell! PURPOSE: Scroll storage for jobs I haven't leveled but plan to. I hoard scrolls till I need them so I don't ever have to buy them.
    Intendedirony (GALKA, Windurst): CK has mules with cereal names on his second account. What fun could be had from CK power leveling his mule and Intendedirony standing nearby? True, no one would get the joke, which is disappointing. PURPOSE: Secondary crystal mule since Luzbell began to run out of room. Selling crystals is pointless so I hang onto them for crafting, which I swear I will finish someday.
    Jusaminde (ELVAAN F, Sandy): Another made up name. I just like making up names! PURPOSE: Gardening and all-night bazaaring.
    Vindelle (HUME F, Bastok): And yet another made up name, lol. PURPOSE: Being a trade mule in Whitegate, and also a shout mule for when I'm busy on Aks but want to buy/sell shit and the best way to do so is shouting.
    Yes, I know I have a lot of mules. I made some extra ones for the mog bonanza so I could be sure I'd at least get a Rank 4 prize and I ended up finding a purpose for each one of them.
    Okay now I'll get back to work. (Grudgingly)
    You don't want to know the number of mules I have it's stuipd >.<
    My LS has an idea of how many but well....x2 chars at 75 wanna lvl jobs on both of them so have gear mules, crystal mule, scroll mule, and add to that they serve as gardening mules.
    When I went to name my mules again all the names I wanted were taken so....went with the FF name thing I had going. Picked names from FFVII, FFVIII. Also went with one of my favorte animes, Trigun. Angelic (cause Angel was taken) and Memorias for the spanish background. Even have a mule with my son's name, Lilalejandro ^^
    Needless to say my mules help me pull in nice gil when I put them to work.
    Between me and my husband we have 16 mules across 3 accounts. Plus our 2 main characters. Since the level sync thing was introduced I'm contemplating deleting quite a few of them as they were simply lowbie armour storage bishes.
    The ones I'll probably keep are my gardening bishes Hyzenthlay (one of the rabbits from Watership down), Taijurara ("Taijura" was a pet name for me as a kid, tarufied it by adding another "ra"), Makie (named after Makie from Blade of the Immortal), Lumi (the name I originally wanted was finally available last year) and Obelix.
    My husband's own name is Scudley (nickname from his first job after college, he was a trainee IT support guy shortly after the Gulf war kinda era and they used to joke about sending him around the office like a scud missile, the name stuck with him and he's used it in every single game since Quake). His mules are just Scudlee, Scudderz etc... and of course Asterix!
    From the first moment I saw the game I wanted to be SMN because I always loved summoners in previous FFXI games.
    Name: from dragonlance, means master, fitting for SMN
    Race: most MP for SMN
    Nation: for ring
    I also always preferred mage jobs so the race, etc worked out for my other jobs, blm & rdm
    Name: Back in 8th grade I had a roleplay character that I drew frequently and RP'ed with in chatrooms named Tenrio, it was just a combination of letters I came up with and I had an infatuation with 3 or 6 letter names. I couldn't decide what to name myself until my friend Gylfie said, "just use Tenrio from back in the day."
    Race: Taru because I always liked playing the little guy and I was about 5'1" in high school.
    Nation: All of my friends started in Sandy, and I liked the music so I stuck there.
    Name: Amentis. I took 4 years of latin in high school. Amentis is latin for madness (Amen, amentis). So I said, "why not?"
    Race: Taru. I wanted to be a blm. Taru are the best blm. Only now have I realized the awesome adorableness that is the onion. The reason I chose oniontaru, actually, was because... 1: I didn't know there was a redhead taru. 2: The char select onion is WAY different than the in game one.
    Nation: Windurst. I wanted the ring, and Windurst is awesome. I loved the surroundings of Windurst. Also, the music in Sandy makes me want to murder myself.
    And now, for my mules.
    Name: Vehsa. Random name generator. I liked it, so I ran with it.
    Race: Mithra. I wanted to be a Drg/Sam or a Polearm sam (This was before the penta nerf). Right when I hit 18 war with her, they nerfed Pentathrust. Guess who became a mule!
    Nation: Sandy. I wanted to be in a nation that wasn't the same as my main.
    Name: Franzkafka. Honestly, named this because of the Franz Kafka song in Home Movies. (He is Franz Kafka! Franz Kafka! He'll smite you with metaphor fists!)
    Name: Georgezimmer. Founder and CEO of Men's Warehouse. He's a Galka, I guarantee it.
    Name: Whiteninja. From whiteninja comics.
