The prizes for the contest have been updated on the official website, so eager adventurers that still need a bit of enticing will definitely want to check them out. Don't worry if you were unable to secure a ticket to the event; art contest entries will be accepted regardless of Fan Festival attendance. So get those creative juices flowing and have your masterpiece ready for submission by the November 23rd deadline.

No one gives a damn. It's been over a week since the update announcement with no update notes. The people who care about the art contest are working on their entries already. But the rest of us, hell everyone including the people working on art for the contest, want a little slice of red meat.

100 gil says that there won't be anything new and wowing until Nov. 22 when they have their Vanafest in Japan.

Although, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if they at least show new storyline update between now and then.

The one thing I hate about them announcing the new update is that now everyday's like Christmas, and then not finding any presents under the tree. I rather wish that SE said nothing until this Friday before announcing the new December update, even if we did sorta know about it before then. :/
