best crit on PvP was 2.5k with 3x Damage boost.. which is 9% increase and extra crit at 59 on a 59 Rouge.
Doing Blood and Unholy, my brother is better @ AoE grinding with Unholy but Blood is self-reliant and more Burst DPS, some of the abilities you get are retardedly good, going hybrid once i'm higher unholy/blood or Frost/Blood depending on what my brother ends up doing.
Currently 62, used alot of junk I had saved up for enchants on my gear and I'm loving the new enchants.. 22 stam to boots 8 stats to wrist/body.. Expertise to gloves, its just retarded how powerful you can make a lvl 60 char now.
What stats should you look for on gear for a Death Knight?
I do dailies for gear to disenchant and such and was wondering what stuff I should mule for later.
Strength, Pure strength; affects everything.
More AP = More spell damage on diseases.
I'm glad they realized it was such a huge pain in the ass to get spell damage/strength/attack power/etc all in one go. So they decided Strength will factor everything you do as a DK.
I'd say as a tank Strength > Parry/Stamina/Defense > Agility maybe?
As far as DPS goes I'd do Strength > Hit/Crit > Stamina/Agility
It's pretty simple gearing a DK since you grab the same gear a warrior normally gets. : p
So just think warrior when you're playing one.
Strength has soo many uses for Death Knights, my favorite is the STR->Parry passive.
Is DK alot of fun? After I hit 80 on my main I was debating leveling my Refer A Friend alt with the month I have left, or just doing DK since it's already so high and I really don't want to do the 70-80 grind more than once ever.
I rarely used the stun but I left claw on auto-cast. You should be generally safe unless you're PvPing in which case I might turn off auto-cast if you really need the ghoul to be able to stun when you're in trouble.
Those were my thoughts on it, haven't really been using it unless I know I'm doing some elite (not that they're hard anyway, even elites at 67 when I'm 64 have been relatively easy if you shadowmeld->bandage), so nothing with the stun yet so much.

I haven't use gnaw at all tbh. Any elites I've come across have been super easy. Even the hellfire demon boss in the back of the pools of agmar or whatever I beat as 66 DK with little problem.
I'm hearing the dual weilding is pretty badass for DK. Anyone try it out? I love my greatswords, but I like the thought of mixing up the weapons a bit.
You can finally name those little dudes? I remember in the beta all of them had RandomName. : p
Dual Wielding, If I'm not mistaken with the Death Knight is that its more oriented towards tanking because it makes you go down the Frost tree which I believe is the tanking tree? I'm not too sure honestly on this one. I remember when I played on the beta dual wielding sucked tremendously cause of its sub par output when you compared it to a two-hander.
I'd say try it out if you like, but I think you'd enjoy using a two-hander. Ironically enough it kills mobs faster than a DW, at least for me. Using DW isn't nothing special really because DK's aren't really spam-type characters and rather build up a combo to do a great amount of damage. (i.e Sinister Strike/Heroic Strike = spam-type when you think of DW)
I'd say its your call to try it out and see which you like more.
No i believe you. Not worth blowing what little money i have on something like that anyways. Still trying to find a replacement for my quest GS. Not going well.
Has anyone else noticed Obliterate does like no damage compared to Scourge strike? Acording to the tooltip it should be doing alot more. Biggest crit i got out of it was 1040... While scourge strike is like 1.9k and doesnt take away diseases.
Scourge strike is shadow damage, so it's not mitigated by armor, and it gets the magic damage bonus from ebon plague. You shouldn't be using obliterate as unholy anyway.
Been using this spec on my DK, thanks for posting it, works great! I just hit 62 tonight, but was 61 earlier and out-DPSing a hybrid blood/unholy DK in Underbog. I was still using the DK quest 2H sword, and he had the 2H axe from Blood Furnace. So yeah, really liking what this spec (and this class overall) can do.![]()
