76!
Hit 80 last night, got my priest to 65 as well (powering her through levels now with my GL's DK). Lost realm first enchanting so just going to sit at 438 and slowly cap it out now.
Been playing for only 2 months now, dinged 68 on mage last night, and not quite sure what to do now. Should I finish up 70 in Outlands and get my flyer, or head right to Northrend? Should I bother farming rep in TBC factions? Should I continue farming honor for PVP gear, or will most of it be eventually replaced anyway? I have only 1300 honor from 3-4 AV sessions, so I'd still have a long ways to go before cashing in on anything anyway.
Just get to 80 as most of TBC content won't be done anymore once everyone is 80 because the gear there is trash. You can go to Northrend at 68 and get gear upgrades/level, and can then get level 80 pvp gear that will far outshine anything you will have at level 70.
Cliff notes: go to Northrend
I would say finish 68-70 in outlands, but whatever floats your boat. Don't both farming honor now, and you can work on rep at 80.
My vote is right to Northrend. If you have issues leveling in one zone because you get too low you can switch to the other starting area and level some there, by the time you do those quests you should be plenty capable of moving onward in Northrend.
There are many reasons to jump to Northrend right away:
1) Two starting areas = Plenty of quests to complete to move on.
2) Start farming WotLK rep right away. TBC rep is only for achievements now, WotLK ones matter.
3) Pretty sure WotLK greens are much better than TBC greens at the final areas. Most people with earlier than t6 gear got a number of replacements early on.
Ding 80
Ding lvl 1 account hacked![]()
Ding level 74! I can now make money off of porting people to Dalaran xD
Ding 73.6
Need to take a break tomorrow and grind Runecloth.
Need Dream Dust to level Enchanting, which I can get from Runecloth Belts, provided I don't get a surplus of Essence which I always seem to anyway.
Really need to get to 325+ so I can DE all the Northrend greens from quests.
Then dailies!
Got 78 last night, and I'm a good way finished Zul'Drak. The pacing is actually really good: I've completely exhausted both starter zones, dragonblight and grizzly, with the exception of a few group quests, and done the first 5 instances.
It looks like I'll hit 80 while doing Sholazar, or maybe slightly into Storm Peaks.
I have yet to fail to find a group for any group quests in Northrend. Part of the advantage of levelling early since there are guaranteed to be so many people eager to do the same quests. No 'Battle of the Crimson Watch' quests that nobody ever does, yet. We'll see what Icecrown has to offer.
p.s. Fuck the Oracles/Frenzyheart branch quest. 'Kill the oracle please. Kill the oracle, please. FUCK'S SAKE. *group disbands*' Now I have to camp other groups doing it to start gaining Frenzyheart rep...
I think I grouped for about 5 group quests total, hunter could solo most of them.
