the original guy they were carrying died/was killed during the filming of this, and the guy trying to rescue him tripped and nearly died(potentially did, they looked like they had him up but he wasn't alert they were just sitting him up) by falling on an electric fence/wires.

So yeah, fail atleast in the punchline department, mostly because the picture/video are not edited properly for the humor, if you managed to edit the video for this reference it'd be a lot more successfully funny, you're laughing at a joke you made in your head and stuck a lousy shop screencap with it, not really delivering the joke well, so don't be suprised if we don't laugh as much rly.

I agree some of the stuff in the random image thread isn't always tasteful, but 90% of that stuff is fake, digitally altered, a cartoon/hentai/anime, ect... So yeah, its a bit diff from posting something real & making fun of it. But to each his own.

I forget which current AC or DC from my old welding classes, but direct contact with them while they lay on those wires will merely pass the electricity through you if you touch their bodies while they're on the live wires, so the wooden sticks were as not to be conductive and get electricuted themselves. AC is when it is in pulses, and DC is when it's a steady stream. DC is A LOT more dangerous than AC.

Assuming roughly equal power loads, AC will stop your heart and send you flying a few yards away, DC will burn the fucking shit out of you and lock down your muscles so you can't let go. At normal household usage levels, AC is *MUCH* more dangerous due to the low frequency.

Edison (the champion of DC power distribution) actually helped to invent the electric chair and performed public executions of animals using AC current to try to scare the public into using DC instead. It didn't really work, apparently people weren't scared into going for the less efficient method (at the time) simply because of a few electrocuted dogs, cats and elephants (not kidding).
