Gears of War 2: whats all the talk about?

i have only gotten to wave 32, but then again, ive only done public Hordes. they suck because once you all die, you get kicked back to the main menu. rather do a private match so i can start on wave 32 and not have to start over

I've only tried horde alone and I get stomped out on wave 11 because grinders become consistent and going down for ammo = instant death. I've only played the level with the giant hole in the middle though, maybe I should try others.

On subject:
I ,loved this game, it was everything I wanted and expected. I didn't expect a completely revolutionary system, as its only been 2 years since gow1, and that was pretty damn "New Age." Only grief is that, I didn't seem to follow the story as much as I would have liked. I really was genuinely interested in the story, but right when they hit the lab I kind of got lost on the happenings.
