I'm laughing because everytime his ads showed up during the primaries we couldn't help but laugh at his Spanish. It was pure lol. We appreciated the sentiment though.

Yo soy is more declarative and it could be thought of as being used by someone important, while me llamo is more casual and friendly. You can use both.
