Need some advice for a friend

About 2 months ago, my friend sold his WoW account for 500 bucks. I know some of you don't believe in selling of accounts yada yada, but when you can pay back part of your student loan, I don't blame him. Well as of two days ago, the guy who purchased his account via paypal, filed a chargeback. He has no receipt because he just sent the info via email. Apparently he can do NOTHING about this, and he spent his money on his student loans. He is a typical college kid and can barely afford his cell phone bill. He now will probably be faced with debt collectors etc because atm all he can do is ignore it because he simply does not have the money to pay back this "scam" you could say. Anyone know anything he could do to get out of this? I know most of you will think, "He sold an account which is illegal, karma", but he's always been one of those; follow curfew kids, straight A's and it sucks to see something like this happen to him. Anyone have any advice?

Something tells me he's not gonna care about the account when he'll still be $500 down. And it could have very well been banned by now so it's not like he could sell it again.

He's fucked unless he can prove he delivered goods to him, like a UPS receipt etc, Paypal won't help him at all, they don't give a damn.

I had the exact same thing happen a few years back... the guy paid, I gave the information, and then a week later he tried pulling the money back.
When I contacted Paypal about this they couldn't do much... but that goes BOTH WAYS... and since they couldn't prove whether or not the items were delivered, they decided to return me the money that he tried pulling.

I say let him call paypal and talk to them, and stress that it's a non-tangible item and therefore there can't be a tracking number. Unless they changed their policies (and they shouldn't have), he should get the money back.

He could also just do an account recovery if WoW allows such a thing...
