Fanatics' Drink is your friend.
hm, i was thinking about the scythe, what would be better?
should i stay at Moliones's Sickle with Moliones's Ring or maybe take Orichalcum Scythe with another Sniper's Ring for tp and Flame Ring for ws, not sure :>
Use a Perdu Sickle with acc ring for TP and STR ring for WS if your build can support it.
op: get a pole strap as well.
we wait for the pole strap till we have a brutal earring and that will take some time
and what is so good about the Tredecim Scythe? just that the 13th hit will be a crit?
Every 13th swing autocrits, and it has good damage/delay anyways, it's really easy to 6 hit with. I believe it parses something like 7% increased crit rate. I used mine till I upgraded to Perdu, and still keep it around for crazy high defense stuff.
Even without brutal, pole strap is still your best item in that slot.
You hit an enemy 100 times with 5% DA. Total number of hits = 105 typically. (5 / 100) * 100% = 5% increase in the number of hits.
You hit an enemy 100 times with 5% DA + 2% DA. Total number of hits = 107 typically. The increase in the number of hits is (2 / 105) * 100% = 1.9% increase in the number of hits (notice it's LESS than 2% when going 0 => 5% was a 5% increase). As you add more, that % increase will decrease further. Or so I've always understood it, feel free to correct me if my math is flawed.
Yep, that's what I meant.
are u saying (excuse me if i seem ignorant i havent slept in a good 20+ hours) that the more DA u stack the less it affects? >.> or that it doesnt give a full 2% or w/e like if u have strap brutal and ares flech for a total of 9% ? if u could explain lil more or pm me with it cuz im confused and soon to lvl my drk and as i was always told to do was stack double att at 75 and go go proc rate? .-. prz helpz meh =O
Yes. Going from 7% to 9% DA isn't as big an improvement as going from 0% to 2%.
Stacking DA on WS is fun for the epeen shots, but for average damage the tradeoff vs acc and such is pretty much the same as for TP gear.
Unfortunately people talk about DA as if it's a bad thing. That is not the case. It just pales in comparison to haste. But Where haste isn't available DA is very good. For instance, it takes a significant amount of str/atk to overcome the benefits of DA.
Depending upon how you define significant.
In this scenario you're looking at the pole grip. The DA from this item is small but it's a big improvement over other items that can be put in that slot. This also applies to the brutal earring.
for the love of god
DA >>> everything else thats not "haste"
In theory accuracy would be able to beat DA too, but there's no slot in which this occurs in really without there being Haste there anyway.
well what about a mythril grip +1 that has + acc and str on it then? does that compare? to the 2% on the strap that is.
