I'm not a dedicated Holy paladin, but from what I've come to learn, HOLY SHIT BEACON OF LIGHT RAPESSSS. Also, as a holy pally, I just straight up went for as much SP as possible, haste and mp5 has never been a huge issue for me when I offspecced holy.

Right now im sitting on 1600+ SP, 200~ haste and 370~ mp5
i have a few obvious gear upgrades if i wanna take it a bit more seriously, just gotta run the heroics for the badges & gear, but with any luck it will take me a few weeks to be sitting on 3 pieces of T7.

I always thought spellcrit was something healadins went for, on account of Illumination?

Assuming you're 70-80, try using Consecrate less. it's not always necessary if you're mowing through small pulls, since Hammer of the Righteous is going to hit three targets (assuming you don't get parried or dodged, lol expertise).

Use Divine Plea as often as it's available to you (1 minute cooldown).

The winner now for Holy Paladin is pure 100% INT, since Divine Plea is so powerful once you can get your mana pool to the 23k+ range. Aside from a single Royal to keep your meta active, you should pretty much be gemming purely for INT, and while my own gear has some changes to go thru (I was in USCG Boot Camp for awhile, just got back recently), you should more or less avoid Mp5 once your Mana pool is high enough, and just aim for the SP/Crit/Haste gear, of which thankfully there's more or less an option for every slot (though you'd have to eat one in either the head or the chest slot to get the 4 piece tier 7).

Correction to what I said, I was told that using an Enchanted Tear to activate your meta is better then using a Royal, but same basic story as what I said. Divine Plea is basically all the mana regen a paladin needs at this point.

SP > Haste > Crit > anything but INT

INT pretty much... comes on your gear, gem for it and pay attention to "upgrades" that lose enough INT that there's not much real gain in SP/crit and a loss in regen

as I said in another thread though, haste is amazing, pretty much the "hard" part of any encounter for healing is managing gcd's, which haste just plain gives you more of

about Retri DPS, could someone explain me why our Heroism libram http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40706 works on SoC while SoB is generally considered retribution best dps seal?
I'm using the Venture Libram and don't see why should I upgrade to that purple one.

You shouldn't, it's pretty useless in the face of a number of other Librams that work on far more commonly employed spells, including the Venture Co one.

Ok so I'm level 70 holy paladin and I'm not in the mood to dps or tank but I really need to quest because instancing all the way to 80 sounds lame. However when I go to quest my dps is realllllllllllly low and it takes forever to kill shit. Battle plan?

I did 70-80 as holy, it was fine. Do lots of instances, get a quest guide. Run wherever you're going, kill everything you picked up on the way when you stop.

    deal with it.
do all the quests in borean tundra that should getcha to level 73

move to dragonblight that should get you to 76 or close to it

do quests in sholazar basin/zul drak 78

move to icecrown/stormpeaks to open dailies 80

as holy you should be able to solo most of the group quests too. although getting to 70-80 took me about a month (8~ hours a day usually) I PVP'd every now and then though so.... if I didn't do that, I would've been 80 sooner.

I didn't mind the slow bullshit since my jobs in FFXI were bard and whm.... got used to taking forever to solo

Well, you see, what you're gonna do is, you're gonna consecrate, and then you're gonna heal yourself.

toying with Holy these days, I'm a true newbie so a few questions came up:

    - to Haste or not to Haste? While gemming/enchanting, should I prioritize Haste over something else until i reach some cap value? much as melees do with Hit Rating maybe?

    - since Pally lacks AoE tools (except Beacon), am I supposed or expected to handle other parties dpes during raid? Or should I focus on my party members, maybe putting Beacon+Focus on MT?

    - is there any case where i should use Hand of Protection? at first i thought "tank!" but since it prevents any action, it doesnt seem fit.

    here's my focus:
    SP > int > crit > haste > mp5

    1) I gem/chant SP and INT. Once I get some better shoulders, I might switch some things out but... we'll see...

    2) unless told otherwise, yes. you are. I usually keep beacon on tank and then just focus on the health values. As soon as I see someone at 3/4ths health, I throw a FoL. Judgement shit for the buff it gives and it should be cake. The only time I put a lot of focus on the main tank is on bosses or when I think Beacon is gunna wear. Otherwise I try and pay attention to the DPS/other healers. If you're having issues you could try running heroics to build up that reaction time.

    3) I never use it... there might be cases where it would be helpful but I havn't really come across any where it would be

here's my stats: The World of Warcraft Armory

my crit is kinda low but... meh

i take this means a raid HP add-on is more than required?
I'm not trying to deny the importance of add-ons, it's just that I enjoy to keep the game HUD as it was meant (i'm a vintage fan). with the standard blizzard interface it's quite impossible to know what is happening in other parties
