I agree, I can't stand grey goose. Usually I drink Ciroc if anything, although I used to experiment with imported vodkas from the local russian market that I don't know the names of. Ciroc really is good though, hard to explain the difference in taste over potato vodkas (it's made from grapes).

never had the grand platinum and i generally don't do tequila, but i do make exceptions for patron, that shit is delicious. i have a bad track record of getting in trouble shortly after a shot or two, so it tends to be a once or twice a year type of thing. last time this happened, i was out at a bar with a few friends and apparently at the end of the night, i was sitting at a table with my eyes closed and some random girl came up and asked if i was asleep. i promptly (and very loudly) responded and freaked her right out, then proceeded to knock about a half a dozen empty glasses/bottles to the floor. i guess i still hadn't bothered to open my eyes.

naturally this resulted in a lot of well-deserved glaring and "get that fucking drunkard out of here" from the bartenders and staff, and i'm pretty sure i required assistance to walk all of 20 feet to the car.

if I'm drinking straight, it's all about Ketel One. just nice and smooth and clean. I'll put a lime wedge in it, but other than that I don't mess with it. for mixing, and sometimes straight I go through a bunch of Tito's (really nice, small batch vodka made in austin, not some ghetto stuff as the name might suggest) which I'd say is my house vodka. for shots its all about stoli or van gogh. chilled stoli vanil, oranj, raspberi...it goes on and on, and van gogh 2x espresso is always a hoot.

while working at a wine shop/liquor store is not the coolest job in the world, it's nice to have access to a wide array of liquors, and get em for cheap =)

I had a summer job delivering liquor to bars/clubs/etc around the state a few years back. We had to take back a handle of Tito's since the seal somehow broke during shipping. Apparently they just throw it out, so I took it home with me. That was some damn good stuff.

There is only one rule I have when I drink.

I pay for the good shit and generally it makes my hangovers 100% easier to handle. Whatever amount of money I spend, I think is worth the added relief the next day.

^ This. I used to get hammered off of Banana Red Mad Dog and Nighttrain lol. Not I am not a whino, but I figured "Hey, where else can I get shit faced for $4.50 why not" I would need 2 days to recover and felt like my kidneys were imploding, while my buddies who drank Paul Mason and other good shit were fine the next day.

As far as Vodka...... Stoli Elite blows any other vodka out of the water. It's on the expensive end though, so I usually only have that when I'm going to big parties.

My "every weekend" stuff is usually Jagermeister or Blackhaus...... If I'm in a beer mood.... Guinness or St. Bernardus Abt 12
