AF+1 for COR

I'm an Elvaan with RSE2 feet and Skadi feet so my order is hat > feet > body.

When I am on COR, 90% of the time it's for HNMs where i'm not meleeing or shooting so it's QD only and the RSE2 feet are better.

I personally went for the Hat first and intend doing Hat > Feet > Body (Pending on Skadi). The way I worked it out was:

The hat is +4 AGI on QD's except Light and Dark as well as +2 STR, +4 AGI and +1 R. Acc on shooting and WS. Also invent space +1 (used Cactuar Ribbon for Light and Dark Shot).

Feet are +2 STR, +5 AGI and -1 R. Acc on shooting and WS.


In my mind the Hat came out better but equipment differs from person to person. I used NQ Hat before I got the HQ and currently use Skadi Feet. I QD in Denali Feet. I also use COR for HNM's a lot more than I do casual play so I don't really get to WS and shoot that often but I will be QD'ing frequently.


I do buy into the whole QD being affected by M. Acc purely because with Warlock's Roll and/or Elemental Staves I get resisted far less. This is really evident against HNM's and also on Salvage bosses where I don't get an Incus Cell. Obviously the exact AGI to Magic Conversion isn't known so it's hard to call between AF +1 Feet and Denali.

Feet then Head, don't think I'll be doing Body.

I have Pahluwan Khazagand and Denali Jacket already, so the AF+1 Body isn't going to give me much those don't... especially since I hope to get Skadi's Cuirie one day.

After doing the first two though, I'll probably snag the upgrade materials for a 3rd if no one else wants them in case I change my mind. >.>

Last I checked 5 STR/5 AGI/4 RAcc is a pretty substantial improvement over 3 STR/0 AGI/5 RAcc for WS, and Skadi does nothing for QD. I'd still take feet first.

Put the crack pipe down a moment and realise that 1 STR 5 AGI -1 Ranged Accuracy isn't as much of an increase as AF+1 hat would be over NQ or OHat if you already own Skadi feet.

I have body+1 for slugshot/shooting for TP and Enkidu's harness for melee TP so Skadi body is over all useless.

In fact, the only skadi piece that seems worth it now is legs for COR imo.

Yeah, I sadly arrived at this conclusion, and used the money I had been saving to get a bunch of nice gear for my BLM instead. Maybe I'll win the lottery; maybe once the gil has accumulated again I won't have other expensive stuff that I want more. Hopefully I'll get the Skadi body made some day, but as cool as it might sound to say I have two full Salvage sets, I feel I've definitely put my money to better use for the time being.

Also Skadi hands are still the best QD piece.

I also WS in Skadi hands, and I had Skadi feet long before the Coming of Ixion.
