Avatars are on one awful looking friend list on the dashboard. You can still use the guide button to bring up a vastly improved list similar to the old one. The amount of complaining for such a minor thing is astounding, yes they're kinda shitty but just ignore them and live with it. The dashboard itself is a vast improvement, the guide button still takes a couple seconds to pop up but there doesn't seem to be any more copious amounts of lag whilst you're using it.

I will say that the full dashboard itself is much more visually pleasing (graphics wise) on a HDTV than the previous blades system.

I agree, overall i am much more pleased with the NXE than the previous incarnation of the Dashboard and Blades. I never did like that the Marketplace was a hideous bright orange NO MATTER what Theme you had installed. Such a hideous color.

Now i can actually make a BGR image that works with the new style and not against it. Add in Netflix, Group Chat, improved menu speed in many areas... and i verily approve!

So I updated my 360 with the NXE then as its restarting... RROD. I gotta send it in now.

So I install GoW2, and the second the game hits the main menu the disc starts spinning again... anyone know how I can remedy this? Or if it's just a GoW2 thing?

edit: nevermind, deleted it off the hard drive and installed again, works fine now.

I still can't get over how amazing disc installation is. The only thing that I don't like is that during winter, but 360 can't act as a heater anymore (although in reality that is a good thing).

Also, even though I got my avatar somewhat suitable to how I look, I still would not mind an option to remove it from my dashboard completely. And I'm sticking with my Seriously/Master Ninja gamerpics until another game with a ridiculous achievement with a gamerpic reward comes out!

Just checked it out, looks pretty nice, but yeah, 20gigs just won't cut it anymore. Going to have to upgrade or toss FFXI off the system if I want to install games to the HD.
