It was almost as if this guy took a look at his gear in his MH and said "Ok, let's see, what is the worst possible combination that I can come up with to ensure I appear on BG." And when your best gear choice, in what I am assuming is a lolPLDDD setup, is the NQ Amemet mantle (I'd say Tatami, but going anything but /NIN for a such a setup is beyond me), you have succeeded.

Edit: Also, please tell me that is a Knightly Earring in the 2nd earring slot to complete the epic fail. Because we all know DD PLDs should be pumping up the shield skill to take advantage of the +1 Store TP on Ecphoria ring via Shield Mastery -- BUT O WAIT DON'T USE THE AF BOOTS!

For shits and giggles, here's the guy's FFXIAH history.

The dude grossly overpaid for some of that stuff, including the gigas bracelets. He paid nine times what they're normally going for on that server.

A lot of people use /BST to solo on jobs while lfg.

I do this on a lot jobs, but I'll never use bst as a sub in a standard exp party unless we're all subbing it (i.e. pet party). If he has bst unlocked then that means he has something better to use, war-berserk, mnk-boost I guess, thf- snk atk, whm,blm,rdm for what little mp it gives, which at least does more than charm at Qufim.

Umm. Actually is that person even exping? Could be spell hunting. Although the Kraken always looks nice to new players for mowing through lots of mobs there. Qufim at 40 is too low for a normal bst camp, but if they're hunting for blood drain, mp drainkiss etc, then it seems more reasonable (although the gear then is huh?).

There's not a ton wrong with that BRD...I'm assuming that's a Star Necklace, which would be better as a Wind/Piper's Torque...but they're /WHM, so the MP pool counts for something, and it looks like their gear is capable of landing Elegy on Faffles as is. Back/Belt are questionable but I'd go out on a limb and say they want MND for Stoneskin.

war sub is gimp anyway till 30 if ure a DD. Doesn't matter what sub you use 1-29 imo. As long as you play your job youll be fine.

I actualy did DRG/MNK untill the 30s since it provided boost which was more than most everything else provided. It also handed out Counter which wasn't terrible and was somewhat workable with a polearm.

Drg/Rng gets Acc bonus at lvl20, at 30 Drg gets its own Acc bonus so thats when /rng is useless,but should be subbing war at 30 anyway. Either way, he needs to lvl something useful as a sub!

I used Sub BLU on my DRG till about 30, because a lot of lowbie partys sucked and I managed to heal better then most mages then (yay newbies x_X), and had more MP then half of said mages from the BLU stat boosts off the spells etc.

Also, he offered /RDM, so he doesn't need a more useful sub... if he wants to solo to 75.

Overall gear isn't so bad for a level 70, but I checked him because he was attempting to lot against me on relic hat and didn't use any instrument swaps. His 100% lullaby resist rate led him to needlessly grab aggro and die numerous times.
