I'm trying to Fraps their second try, first lasted like 25 seconds.. but I drop to like 3 fps if I start recording, and mine is not a bad PC either, any tips on how I should set it?

Try reducing your resolution to even lower levels. I recomend 720X480, since that's the standard for DV Video. It's not High Def but it will keep you closer to 29.9FPS.

Broken? Could be the group just sucked considering it was a pick-up.

Oh, last I heard Vrtra just constantly drew in and made kiting impossible along with a flurry of other things. Even if he doesn't do that anymore, it'd still be entertaining to watch the inevitable wipe of a pickup group occur

Pick-ups are pretty random; they tend to wipe more often than not (and when they do, it's hilarious) but sometimes they can do decently.

Had a pickup KB a few weeks ago that went pretty smoothly. (Then again, KB isn't exactly difficult.)

They changed its draw-in range, but it's still possible to kite. Have done it a few times since then. Makes laps around the room shorter.
