Well he should then! I was on the fence too about dropping my tamas ring, but then realized with a snow/aqua ring, I could get back the stats. Same could be said with flame/thunder, but the store TP just seals the deal.

Main hand is Pick of Trials, off is Iron Ram Pick. Ring is the one that does not yield. Highest Rampage was... 495. Eventually he switched to Great Axe (didn't check him but I think it was this one, I saw the additional effect going off) and did slightly better, woohoo.

Ran across this gem in Besieged last night, and immediately did an epic /facepalm... and no, he wasn't just using the wand for casting Helices >< I didn't get to check and see whether the other earring was an Onyx Earring or a Wizard's Earring

There's more story than gear to this one. He never changed gears. Once. It's like a Chausable was suddenly made into an Errant Body with Black Cloak bits. When the fight was over (read: Lost) he tried to tell me that since the recast timer for Cure IV is longer than the one is for III (this is a true statement, but this shouldn't matter) he pretty much refuses to use Cure IV. Then I had to tell him that since he's a RDM it really shouldn't matter (Fast Cast III reduces recast 10%, which should be complemented with at least a Chapeau and that Loquacious Earring he has), but he didn't seem to care about Warlock's Attire (Body and Head anyway).

What Red Mages can get away with only using MP gear anyway?

The Monk (pictured, no gear shot of him though) is also a Winner. Meriting Mantra and using it as the kiter ran by wiped us in the first place (kiter runs by, he uses Mantra on him, I blow a cure on the monk and die horribly). Then later he does a real winning thing by throwing on counterstance while out of Shehei (untill he used a bag) totaly draining my MP and resulting in my death to begin with. (Confusing story, but I only died once) While I am not totaly against counterstance, having it up while you're taking hits upwards and over 700/strike at pretty high speed, you're asking for trouble.
