And this is my concern. It seems DL has plenty of problems as is right now and I don't want to add fuel to the fire if this isn't real. That could seriously hurt any chances of the shell rebuilding or working through whatever else is/could be going down.

I really did not want to post on my own background check but a lot of you seem to have the wrong idea. DL has a total of about 5 members now. It collapsed against my will because of aforementioned meaningless drama. Basically it was a cascade of members leaving for the sole reason of members leaving.

Thats pretty much how it went. When a lot of my core members left, it hurt the most, and caused me to want to just give up on the small remainder of the shell. So I did. After 3 years, we exited the HNM scene. I'm not getting an Aegis and jumping ship. I fully intended on using it in my shell, except now it won't happen. Now seeing all those people who were the foundations for my LS running around with other shells on doesn't make me too happy, so I felt a new server might be refreshing.

Jinkazama has no idea of our record and no idea what hes talking about. Our longest Tiamat was 4 hours and that was at 3 am PST with 16 people and was only our third kill ever. Also our entire kill history is listed on our website.

That being said, I had no idea I was so "Stupid" and "shady" and I have no intention of giving up casino (my main source of income and how I leveled Goldsmithing when I did). If that is an issue, I've no intention of making your shell look bad and I suppose you can deny me right out.

I lol'd. DL had little, to no impact on the HNM scene. If/when they ever did snag an HNM, it was an epic fight where nobody was sure if they'd win. Well he lead an ls alright. The skill level was never anywhere near first class, but it was an LS.

As far as his skill level. I'd say far short of impressive. I'd have to go with what Jink said:

What would be awesome is if he actually did jump servers after getting an Aegis for an underleveled PLD after that post. I know the mods are going to be pissed at me for this but....

Aside from the casino, I can't say anything bad. But I tend to keep out of the HNM-scene.

From the people I met at FanFest 2007 (of which, it seemed, so many were from DL), he has to be charismatic enough to have kept the LS going so long. Either that or been paying them off (lol!) I'll have to see where some of them have gone.

Of course, I miss the days of Staff-ricle jokes.

Thanks for clearing the mess up. Makes a lot more sense now. Like I said, this seemed way out of left field and didn't make a damn bit of sense.

Well with all that in mind...personally, I could care less that he ran a casino. Hell, I gambled in it a couple of times way back when. Shouts might be annoying, but I tend to filter them out in Whitegate, so whatever.

As far as the whole Aegis thing, my only issue was someone with an extremely low level PLD was getting it. However, the thing is, he was funding the runs and I didn't hear really any mention of DL folks getting up in arms about it. Just because I think it was a horrible leadership decision (and I couldn't believe people followed it) doesn't mean he can't be a good member or play well.

Sorry.. 4hr Tiamat with 16 people, your skill is much better then I originally thought. I must bow down to your greatness, I was unaware Tiamat could be killed with less than 25 people.

Anyhow.. He was a successful leader of a semi-decent shell. Back to my original post, if thats what you're looking for you'll do good picking him up, if you're looking for exceptional skill this isnt they player for you.

So I dont post much if at all, Davs a good guy and hes not leaveing because he got his relic I was In DL till about 2 weeks ago,The LS broke everyone just kept leaveing and leaveing it wasnt his fault,I think you have no reason not to let him in.

I'm one of the 5 that's left in the shell lol.. Dav is a good guy. He knows how to play his jobs and knows his roles in HNMs. Obviously not gonna need to explain most stuff to him aside from personal LS strats. Aside from HNMs which we barely did the last couple months, we were extremely active with salvage, ks99s, oreos and BV2s, sky, etc etc. He has lots of experience and would be a good asset to have.

Only downside to him is hes a lightweight when it comes to drinking.

I know lot of people have a lot against Dav. But personally few encounters ive had with him were positive. Anytime i would ask him for help, out of the blue he would be right there to help no questions asked.
