I'd say 300-400', it's 'idle spot' is the other copy as opposed to the ???. It will continue toward the other copy for 3 minutes after deaggro before depop, deaggroing it at 50' will definitely get you killed. I believe 50' is the limit for it to warp back though, so would be wise to not have anyone pull hate off of the tank in the first ~30 seconds.

It makes it easier to drag the mob away, in addition to helping fight go faster. Think about it logically.. your tank is on hate list anyway since in your method you pop outside ally and they claim, the mob will get tp from hitting them anyway, if having hate and it TPing aren't what makes it link then why would doing damage? I think you just didn't get far enough before dying, or for some reason you having hate on both screwed it up =x
On that pull, it was'nt me (I was having laptop related issues, so someone else did the pull.) So, what I think happened then was the tank had Reprisal up when he pulled his copy (ie, while the THF was running away, thus both copies were way close.) Assuming that's correct, then yeah, I agree, we screwed up the pull. So, allow me to correct myself and say don't damage until the THF gets far enough away, or else it might teleport back and do bad things. But, I think just waiting til the copy despawns to damage is a 'better safe than sorry' thing, yeah it's probably not needed but it won't hurt anything either.

As for claiming both, I do it mainly for safety (I know I don't need to, but I still do.) Plus, I am usually the only TH4 there, and there is little chance I will get back into the fight before we kill it, so I just put TH4 on right away. I don't think I necessarily have to, but it does seem to make the pull go smoother.

That, and I like having a use for Mug once in a while that is not getting me random amounts of gil from NM's.

JoP gets a lot tougher once it opens its mouth; the more damage you can do before the other copy despawns, the easier the fight will be.

You don't need the popper to be outside of the ally, the rest of the ally just needs to be far enough away (30' is safe). I used powder boots on NIN. Just have a tank peel one off you as you run by him. If you have a full ally just kill both, it will be faster.

Also good idea to kill the UFO that roams nearby, sucks for your popper to aggro a UFO running one away to kite.

    If someone can't kite a UFO, I really doubt they can kite prudence >.>;

Correct. Zlavnich had Reprisal up when he used Flash on one of the two while whoever was on THF ran with the other copy. Once the one following the THF de-aggroed, he teleported back and beat the crap out of the rest of us.

So just to make sure; If I pop the jailer, one will pop red and the other yellow and the yellow is the jailer with the drops?

The one that dies second is the one with drops. When the spare depops, the main opens it's mouth.. if you kill the main before the second depops then it'll never open it's mouth and it won't drop anything.

For anyone doing this, please make sure you know where you are running with your prudence copy.

On my server an LS was fighting prudence and ran him to JOL because they didn't know where they were running to. Now the worse part is they died on the JOL, the other LS fighting JOL also had Ru'Hpemdes popping and -ga3'd that prudence copy and it proceeded to wipe them >_>

Oh I see, so either one drops loot, but it has to be killed second after the first depops. Cool, thanks

I'm not sure if I'm clear on some of the posts concerning updrafts.

If I run to the updraft which is right by JoP and use it to port to the middle, that is port without actually leaving zone, will JoP hunt me down? Sort of like what happens if you have aggro in La Theine Plateau and hit Teleport Holla, the mob will still stay on you cause you didn't really zone (see Kaeko's enmity research).

You likely won't be able to get in the updraft without getting hit/interrupted/dead(regardless of if you mean the close one or the one by tavnazia), it's just a marker really. If you make it to the tavnazia one you're far enough to die/zone/whatever and not have the mob relink.

Couldn't I shadowbind it, then enter the updraft and teleport to sea entrance? Or will it just lose aggro?

Honestly, I don't know. I've thought of it before but never tried it since it's not particularly hard to pull it to entrance updraft the normal way and if it doesn't work you just mpked your linkshell <_> Lemme know if you give it a shot though, I'm curious

I would guess that it would work: if you just pop, flee to the nearby updraft and warp to the central updraft, I would expect JoP to head your way until it gives up and deaggros, then walk back to its twin from wherever that happens. But that might not get it far enough away for it to despawn before it links.

tell blms to make sure they utilize drain also, it does a solid 1-2% each time and without the MP usage of T3s.

1st run-I did this 2x over the past week. We were 1/2. Since we have so low numbers, one mess up and we wipe. Well, the first fight we had 2 ppl in an outside party to pop it and was going to flee and zone at sealions den while we just kited the other one until the first one despawn. Well, the idiot nin in the kite party voked the 2nd add so the outside party had BOTH prudence copies. Needless to say, we wiped horribly. Somehow though, the thf got to the zone with one and we managed to get one to despawn after it raped our ally and i ended up losing 10k xp. After we were down to just one, its mouth opened and we kited it to the tree south of us and just had clegs rdm and blm just share hate. Its VERY easy to do this once you get one to despawn. It never used perfect dodge or flee once after the first one despawned. Easy win..

2nd run-We were planning on kiting one around the pop area and kiting the other one around the tree far south. Well, as soon as the kite party at the pop point died, the prudence copy went straight for the copy we were kiting at the tree south of us. It caught up to us b4 3min and strated causing havoc. I managed to DOT one with bio3 but it used the TP move to get rid of that buff and somehow, they despawned after 2min of me being dead because i forgot RR >.>. I always thought it was 3 minutes. My theory is, the despawn can actually start even though it has hate on someone but is not claimed or DOT and at 100% HP.

Recommended strategy for lowball: have a thf with striders, powder boots, and hermes quencher pop it alone with perfect dodge up. Flee and kite it all the way to sea lions den. The main party can just voke/bio3 etc and just flee to the tree area S of the spawn point. If the thf can make it to sea lions den or past b4 he dies, the other prudence copy will be unable to make it to the main party copy and he will despawn.
