Well, the first fight we had 2 ppl in an outside party to pop it and was going to flee and zone at sealions den while we just kited the other one until the first one despawn. Well, the idiot nin in the kite party voked the 2nd add so the outside party had BOTH prudence copies. Needless to say, we wiped horribly. Somehow though, the thf got to the zone with one and we managed to get one to despawn after it raped our ally and i ended up losing 10k xp. After we were down to just one, its mouth opened and we kited it to the tree south of us and just had clegs rdm and blm just share hate. Its VERY easy to do this once you get one to despawn. It never used perfect dodge or flee once after the first one despawned. Easy win..

2nd run-We were planning on kiting one around the pop area and kiting the other one around the tree far south. Well, as soon as the kite party at the pop point died, the prudence copy went straight for the copy we were kiting at the tree south of us. It caught up to us b4 3min and strated causing havoc. I managed to DOT one with bio3 but it used the TP move to get rid of that buff and somehow, they despawned after 2min of me being dead because i forgot RR >.>. I always thought it was 3 minutes. My theory is, the despawn can actually start even though it has hate on someone but is not claimed or DOT and at 100% HP.

Recommended strategy for lowball: have a thf with striders, powder boots, and hermes quencher pop it alone with perfect dodge up. Flee and kite it all the way to sea lions den. The main party can just voke/bio3 etc and just flee to the tree area S of the spawn point. If the thf can make it to sea lions den or past b4 he dies, the other prudence copy will be unable to make it to the main party copy and he will despawn.

We tried the THF spawn solo, tank grab unclaimed one strat, it works amazingly! The thf told me he was in no danger of dieing the whole time. He popped powder boost, PD, spawned and ran, PD was not needed. We just held the other untill mouth opened and zerged the hell out of it with blms and rngs. Smoothest prudence ever, thanks for the strat!

It wasn't my call. Someone else implied that the strategy would work (even though you and others said it wouldnt) and it obviously didnt work. Some people just always think they are right /sigh...

You don't need to wait for the other one to depop, just for it to get far enough away (50'?) that it won't warp back to join its buddy. Same principle as if you had pulled one away with a holding party; it wouldn't make much sense for you not to be able to damage the one you have until the other one disappears in that situation.

If you don't wait for it to depop, do you still have to kill both to get drops?

Only the Open mouth one drops anything.

So if you kill one before its open mouth (meaning that the other hasn't depoped yet) then you dont get anything since the one that you were kiting to depop is now the open mouth one, and it will depop with your goods.

If you manage to kill both at the exact same time, you get nothing. There was a shell on my server that did this, they -ga nuked them down long long ago, when little was known about them. When they both died at the same time, since one never got to turn to open mouth, they got a big fat pool of nada.

Right. Once the one being kited is far enough away, you take the one you're holding down to about 5%, then wait for it to open its mouth (after the other despawns) and kill it.

We have an aegis straight tank both pld/war.

Alliance kills 1 and then the other while he tanks both.

Slight necro but just wanting to make sure the depop method for pop and flee to tavnazia still works

Also, I see it two different ways in the thread of people saying don't damage it until it's mouth opens and some saying it's okay to do damage.

If you go the damage route your thf would just need to make sure they're in hate range for the add to WS them because if they aren't, Prudence2 will then hide and rape ally?

If go the wait till depop route kite/straight tank until Prudence2 depops then go all out.

Also, the popping process, what's best? Have a thf and pld in a party, thf grab one and pld voke the other, pld drop pt and then join main ally while thf takes it to zone?

Just looking for confirmation of method; it's last jailer my shell needs to take down before Love. Help is appreciated, thanks.

thf (alone, not in ally) pops it, pops flee, pld vokes one. people bash the voked one until 5% ish. thf either make it to sealions den zone / warp behind hope pop / dies so his jop walks back. after some time (i think 3min?) it depops = the one you're holding opens mouth. kill it.

the only bad thing can be your thf not knowing (yet) how to kite it so he/she either dies too early or looses hate through some other fuck up.

Doing damage is fine, but if you kill it before it opens its mouth, the one being trained away will open up and then despawn with all your drops. You lose your popset.

Damage til low HP, then disengage til mouth opens, then kill.

Worked two weeks ago for me. Just make sure the pop person is outside of alliance and alone. (we were doing nin+rdm kite team and JoP poped claimed if we were a party)

After Prudence is popped, are both claimed to the person that popped them? Or is one claimed? Neither claimed?

Seemed like last time I popped them, it wasn't consistent. I could have been wrong, though..

My shell always seems to have trouble with Prudence. Basically, if you do the depop method, make sure your thf knows what he or she is doing. We've had flawless pulls and others where the thf got too far ahead and the other Prudence came back for us lol. As stated earlier, just make sure they know where they are running and that they can't lose aggro or die too soon. As long as it depops correctly, it's pretty easy.

Don't take DMG or lose shadows, pretty sure the loss of CE(?) is the reason it forgets you exist when VE completely diminishes as the initial hate is very low on pop.

Bored, the red circle is where I usually die when I pulled it -- It's about a perfect 3 minutes. If you do take the Updraft a bit further west make sure you have a second puller in case some weird shit happens.

As other people have suggested here, regardless of what method you use, if it involves an outside person or group doing something with one prudence and the main ally doing something with the other, you'll want the outside person to be the one popping it, and to be solo on pop.

For instance, my LS has done the THF depop thing a few times, but usually when I'm there it's me kiting the 2nd one with a RDM at a bush about 20-30 seconds south of the main area while they kill first, and then bringing it back to ally. What I've always done to avoid claim/hate issues is have the RDM send a PT invite just as I'm ready to pop it, but I don't accept it yet, and since I'm solo that guarantees only one will be claimed to me. Once the yellow one is claimed to the main ally (requires two actions due to claim rules, the first will only give them hate but it will stay yellow) someone says "claimed" or something in LS and I type /join to PT with the rdm.

Doing it that way I've never had issues with claim or one warping back, and I'd recommend doing that any time your prudence strategy involves more than one person outside of alliance (if solo it obviously doesn't matter). If you have issues with both being claimed it's probably due to being with multiple people in an outside ally, while if you have issues with him warping back I'm going to guess you popped it while in alliance with everyone and dropped pt, and the alliance-hate that all jailers have somehow mucked things up.

Edit: @Kaces's comment, it has to be some explanation other than CE/VE loss (like possibly alliance-hate as I suggest above, or something else), unless their THF is performing some kind of action on his Prudence. If you pop it and don't touch it (and obviously avoid the other supertank no-nos like /healing or releasing an avatar or high jump or whatever), then you won't have any real hate, but you will have 0-hate or supertank hate-list target or whatever you want to call it, where getting hit or being cured won't change the mob's current target.

If a person solo pops them (party of 1/not partied) then only 1 JoP is claimed.
If there is a party of 2 or more people then both JoP are claimed.
