Jailer of Prudence Strategy

Slightly off of the main topic, but hopefully acceptable for this.

I've heard that some people tend to use PLD/WAR on Prudence vs. the standard PLD/NIN or NIN/DRK. We've only done a few Prudence pops and I've never tanked it besides kiting one long ago.

PLD/WAR pretty viable, and preferred, over PLD/NIN? Assuming decent gear, I don't have an Aegis or Valhalla gear but I've got a good Shield Skill build and we could pump up my defense pretty high as if I were supertanking something.

Just asking since I've heard "PLD/WAR works" but never any specifics or direct input on it.

PLD/WAR is best imo, I use tacos and minnex2 -- and if you got 2 tanks it's nothing to worry about assuming you depop one.

Is my linkshell the only one that doesn't depop it? We actually kill both.

Don't take DMG or lose shadows, pretty sure the loss of CE(?) is the reason it forgets you exist when VE completely diminishes as the initial hate is very low on pop.

Bored, the red circle is where I usually die when I pulled it -- It's about a perfect 3 minutes. If you do take the Updraft a bit further west make sure you have a second puller in case some weird shit happens.

Last time we had an issue with it coming back to us, the THF said that he might have lost sight of Prudence by getting too far ahead. I'm not sure if that caused the problem of it losing interest or not.

@Kaces, our plds usually /nin. When you do Prudence as pld/war, what sort of DD do you use? Just BLM or do you put melee on it as well? We tend to be a bit more melee heavy unfortunately as a shell, so Prudence gets fed a bit more TP than I'd like.

To the second part, we have our usual melees sub THF and the usual BLM pt. Real easy, reprisal and sentinel owns this mob.

That's so 2008! We used to kill both, and every once and awhile the kiter would die, and then shit would hit the fan. Since depopping one they've been very very easy fights with no issue popping 4-5 in a row. I used to dread prudence, now he's a cake walk.

and then once we tried the depop method and it worked for my NA shell, they go "wtf are we thinking about before" and dropped the idea to killing 2
