Same can be said about Stewart in this regard. Him sharing time in the backfield is really hampering his chances for RotY (not saying its a bad thing though, Carolina is finally getting the 2-RB system that Fox has always wanted down)

So I wouldnt imagine that they would go that way for the voting. With the way the season has turned out, it really has been a chance for entering rookies to make a name for themselves across the board.

    No, I don't think they'd be 10-0.

And from a numbers standpoint, Chris Johnson is the better runner, while Forte is the better receiver.

From a "how valuable are you to your team" standpoint however, I think there's no comparison. The Titans would still be very good with White as the starter. The Bears would be completely, abjectly, fucked sideways, and that's why Forte will get significantly more ORoTY consideration.

All 3 guys are very good backs (Jones/Forte/Johnson) - Forte's just in the position where he'd win the voting popularity contest.

That's why I put the little "if you want to toss him in there as well" stipulation after putting him. I wouldn't know whether or not to consider him or not.

The other problem with Jonathan Stewart is that it forces one to consider the possibility of an NFL team existing in "the Carolina region", whatever state that is - something I've neglected to do on a daily basis since I was born.

I don't think Forte should be given more "value" just because his team is stupid and dropped Benson when he could clearly still play. If anything, that helped him because he's now the centerpeice of an offense that can't do anything besides run. His QB's sucking and only being able to hit the check down receiver helps his numbers also.

I still think Chris Johnson is on another level because he's got more yards than Forte with 30 less rushing attempts, and he's still a threat to catch the ball out of the back field. And he's been a game breaker all season minus say 1-2 bad games.

Well with the more major rolls some other rookies are playing throughout the league, i would doubt it (I.E Ryan). Been a real good year overall for rookies...but Ryan can still die in a fire, since he's in the NFC South etc etc

The game this weekend in the Georgia Dome is going to be huge in panning out the NFC South, and another chance for the rookies on both sides of the ball to step up and show they belong.

Back to tonights game, If the Steelers drop this game, they slip to a tie in their division, which would be horrible to their playoff hopes, with the "bend-but-not-break" pats and the cowboys coming up, if your a Steelers fan, you better be preying they pull out this win, lol.

    felix jones to IR lololol.

i think all the rookie RBs went above and beyond their projections, except mendenhall of course. would be hard for me to pick between chris johnson and Forte, prob go with forte though just cuz he can full time it.

I dunno, I thought he only had 1 TD in four games and something like 300 yards.

    7 games, 1 TD, 70 carries, 354 yds

All this talk is for naught anyway because poster boy matt ryan is going to steal the award.

I swear, if you're a rookie QB all you have to do is show up, know your role, and the media will hail you as the next brett favre. I loved the guy at BC but it's like the media lines up to slobber his cock every fucking week. I don't even think he's the 2nd best player on his offense.

Although their plan for him was a second back role and minimal carries, he played well while he was healthy.

Probably has to due with him QBing a team that was expected to be the worst team in the NFL by far this year after the disaster that was last season. It's a collectivce effort of a lot of changes that really came together for the Falcons.

lol not many do, but when they spoke to lane kiffin early in the season that was the plan, they didnt wanna wear him out right away, he was to share time with Fargas much like Felix Jones role with barber, but he played hurt a couple games, was having heel and thigh problems.

The Falcons' turnaround has a lot more to do with them having the 3rd best rusher in the league and less to do with a QB who is 11th in yards, 11th, in TD's, and 21'st in Completion percentage.

Meanwhile you've got two rookie RB's in the top 10 in rushing yards and they're merely afterthoughts.

Being a rookie QB is harder than being a rookie RB by far. Also, if you say Matt Ryan like the retarded way you can say "Matt Damon" then it's way more funny.

Also, Felix Jones out for the season, toe surgery.

Saving a franchise in shabbles should not be taken lightly. As a rookie at the most important position, I think he deserves to get a media reach around every week. It's not like he hands off the ball 90% of the time. He's doing very well and better than a lot of veteran QBs this year.
