Fenrir solo as pld/rdm.

Operation desert Swarm (though not impressive anymore since that one excal/aegis pld did it Q.Q). At least I can say i did it w/o excal =/

If I could find an item that gave me phalanx id try some more stuff /dnc, but pld/rdm with atonement is just brokenly awesome.

Spartan Shield. Have to keep it on to keep phalanx though.

Lv40 to get the head piece, you can still use it as /PUP, unless it was changed recently.

To stay on topic, my recent solos were all Wotg BCNMs, and KA as Drk/Sam

Should note that there's a difference between watching someone do it or being told how to do it, then repeating it, and starting from scratch, figuring it all out - usually including some weird caveat - then doing it first.

Being first is much harder than reproducing.

I think the best jobs for 'hard' solos are going to be RDM, BLM, NIN, and PLD. PLD/RDM gets a huge boost from Atonement since it'd DD potential is just amazing.

If we try to find solos that are unique to a single job - aka X solo can ONLY be done by a certain job...

BLM:
Come Into My Parlor (KS30)

Feel free to try to correct or add to this list. I think these are going to be your 'most difficult' generally since they are specific to 1 job - meaning there is something about this job that it excels at that enables it to perform the solo.

Fairly certain RDM is capable of Ash Dragon using Enspell-burn technique, I believe it's been done already but not 100% sure.

Not counting it because he uses a helper to clear adds. NIN/PUP is true solo, Avesta's is him 'dueling' the mob and someone else clearing adds.

And on the subject I had a question: I know that PLD/RDM has done ODS with Aegis/Excal, just wondering people's thoughts on how possible it is without Aegis and a Joyeuse instead, as Atonement may go a decent way to bridging the previous gap in damage output between Excal PLDs and those without.

That video of Avesta soloing Ash Dragon was done way back when nothing spawned in that room except for the Ash Dragon. There was no 'mysterious party' killing bombs.

Not to nitpick, but SAM can also do the ENM50, RDM/BLM can do come into my parlor with heavy meds, NIN/DNC can do wild wild whiskers. I'm curious if apollyon NE was a typo, if not some info would be great

BST doesn't really have much for unique solos.. anything a BST can do can also be done by NIN or RDM pretty much.

One thing BST's can do is solo hard fights at a low level, such as Aquarius at level 60. A lot of BST's solo "luster" has admittedly worn off in recent times due to gear/subjob/skill progression of other jobs, but they still have their advantages in certain situations.

The same night that infamous Aegis/Exc PLD solo'd ODS and posted a video I Exc/Aegis Solo'd it. Within a few days a Joy/Aegis PLD did it again.

As for PLD/RDM soloing... Yes Atonment rapes. Rapes bad... As in, Cuts fight time into a fraction of what it was on all fights.

COR/NIN with a quick draw build can solo pretty much anything that can be kited. JoFort, Genbu, etc. Could easy solo Chary if you managed to pull it to a safe area and depop whatever you aggro'd on the way. Might try sometime soon. Doubt there's anything COR can solo that another job can't, though.

BLM or SCH can do Yovras.
