No wipes, its been ton a bunch ever since the first video of it was released way way way way before Atonement or Reprisal.

Most impressive solo's I've seen was VV pld solo, or the thief fenrir solo.

The same night that infamous Aegis/Exc PLD solo'd ODS and posted a video I Exc/Aegis Solo'd it. Within a few days a Joy/Aegis PLD did it again.

As for PLD/RDM soloing... Yes Atonment rapes. Rapes bad... As in, Cuts fight time into a fraction of what it was on all fights.

I'm more wondering if this is something feasible for a non-Aegis PLD, assuming reasonable gear in the their other slots. I'm assuming Aegis is quite stronger than your standard Koenig Shield, but not really sure how far ahead it is.

for Requiem of Sin: pretty sure it's ES sleepga -> chainspell, bind rabbit/wyvern -> nuke X to 0% nuke wyvern to 0% -> die

reraise: heal up, (rabbit is now docile) kill Z with dots and nukes when you have an opening while kiting both Z and Y, kill Y -> finish rabbit

just a wild guess: defiantly need meds to do it for chainspell nukes at begining

Unless you're Elvaan or Galka, I don't really think so. I've never had less than ~200 MP before dying, without meds.

Avesta soloing Hakutaku is also definetly worth mentioning too. That fight takes a lot of patience, and considering the length of it, mistakes/resists will kill you eventually unless played perfectly.

Its a long fight, but its dependent mostly on what kind of MDB set you're rocking. If you're eating constant huge leik xbox Firaga, you're not going to win.

I soloed Falcatus Aranei at 29 when he aggroed me while leveling.

Threw everything in that part of Korroloka at him for half an hour or so and got a lolscythe which just dropped in Nyzul last night.

Friend of mine got /Dnc up after hearing me talk about it, and did Aquarius Pld/Dnc without touching his mp really. Says if he can get an Aegis he's gonna solo Guivre or Bune.

Bst pal did those two Sphinx's for Bastok 6-2 I think, as a lvl 60 Bst. I took him up to see the Aery one day and caught him gauging Darters, then he charmed one, and I could see him contemplating trying to solo Fafnir... nutty bastard.

I bet with Hermes', /Dnc, and a good area to kite in, I could whittle down all sorts of shit just dragging it behind me in first person/running backwards/using gravity as I needed it. Was able to last a good 3 or 4 minutes with Aquarius like that, but he was whittling down my TP JUST too fast for me to keep it going.

That video of Avesta soloing Ash Dragon was done way back when nothing spawned in that room except for the Ash Dragon. There was no 'mysterious party' killing bombs.

Proof that the room has been changed? He's had the bombs in there since the beginning unless I am being wooshed.

For example, you'd obviously want to use PLD/RDM while soloing something like ODS where damage reduction is key, but for a quick solo like... oh I don't know, quest NMs or whatever, /DNC would be better for efficiency?

Do you use your TP for healing and only use MP for emergencies? Or spam Flash to save TP?

I'd venture a guess that enspells add more damage than anything /dnc has and phalanx once every 3 minutes reduces a big portion for weaker things. Not really sure what pld/dnc would be best for <_<

Huh, I didn't even think about the fact that PLD has enhancing magic for enspells. And you're right, Phalanx + Stoneskin would probably negate anything /DNC brings to the table (except maybe Aspir Samba against some mobs or something?)

But yeah, what with the loss of Barspells and buffs, when is PLD/DNC worth it? When surrounded by elementals I suppose?

on pld? that'd be pretty impressive, especially if you can do it without dieing/reraise to finish off what you can't take down first go.

I can take hits from them fairly well on rdm, but the 3 step SC is basicly a killer for me.

My advice would be take out the wyvern, it cures the mithra often, and the breaths can do their share of damage to you.

Ya nothing was breaking the phalanx on a regular basis, even SCs. Gotta wait til next sunday to try to the real deal though
