I am not going to answer stupid questions when all I need to do is clarify my point. No, that is not what I am trying to say. Now read what I wrote after that. That is what I am trying to say.
Yes it is, but it isn't isn't what I asked.
The answer to my question is a simple yes or no, though I suppose I shouldn't have bothered since your answer contradicts what you said. By saying the ROZ data every NA got for 'free' wont be uploaded for some arbitrary reason, you're still suggesting that someone who got it wouldn't upload it.
That's fucking retarded.
Now shut the fuck up, you're not as good at this as I am.
No, you're not very good at arguing.
What you are saying is the only way for anyone to not have zilart installed is for them to be JP and skipped buying the Zilart Expansion. Not only is that wrong (trial accounts don't get Zilart), but BRP corrected you by saying Zilart is optional. Now you are arguing a completely different point which is no longer your original statement, but now "Who in their right mind wouldn't accept a free expansion?".
LD you are annoying to argue with, but your misplaced sense of pride makes it so funny I can't resist laughing. You should ask Sonomaa for a "King of Forum Debates" title.
AHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Now shut the fuck up, you're not as good at this as I am.
The big 3
There was a guy in my linkshell about 2 years ago who could not figure out why he couldn't get to kazham. Turns out he had gotten a trial version or something of FFXI and it didn't come with any expansions and he had no idea. Was pretty hilarious after we figured out why he couldn't get that quest.
Oh yeah i saw those once at an EBgames. It was a trial in a cardboard sleve thing, no box or anything. It came with no expansions and it was being advertised as the first month free. Dont you get the first month free anyways if you buy the actual game with all the expansions and create a new account? I dunno, i did. But then again i think it was also only like $5 or $10 with another purchase.
Back in the day when I finally wanted my Kazham keys, I also couldn't get the quest. Turns out I had installed RoTZ, but never "Activated" it within PoL. But that was like '04 or something.
Yup, had the same issue when I started with the 2006 Vanapack (FFXI + Zilart + CoP). Didn't register Zilart until about time I was going to Kazham. And a friend of mine didn't even have Zilart then, as he started playing from my 30 day free trial.
I love how sometimes JP is "shy" to ask direct questions like:
1. lolAV?
2. Lessen the required alexandrites?
3. Moar Merits?
but instead, they chose to ask:
1. MALE MTHIRA I LIKE!
2. MAKE DOORS(rofl max 5 in 5 lvl) AND GEARS(Lol do you kill these at risk, even they only drop 1-2? and how rare are gear floors LOL). This prolly give your server extra 10 alex per nyzul lol. THEY DIDNT EVEN ASK FOR NM POUCHES.
3. Asking AF2/merit grp 2 for DNC and SCH is stupid. Do you think SE did not think and designed them? Or they dumb to think that SE totally forget these and goes "Oh we forgot abt the AF2/merits! thanks for reminding!!!"
4. YEA RIGHT MORE LYCO INFO
honestly JP wasted 28 mins of the possible 30 mins interview.
I hope, and 100% positive, that NA will ask realistic questions that make SE developer sweat more.
should just ban JP to going their own fanfest and sell the tickets to BG readers.
I wanna see a NA clustered fan base in a JP fan fest next year +_+ and make sundi pee in his pants.
You are deluded if you think if NA interviewers don't waste that much time.honestly JP wasted 28 mins of the possible 30 mins interview.
See interviews are mostly one-sided occurrences. What a lot of people don't understand is which side is suppose to be one-sided. SE isn't interviewing YOU, you are interviewing THEM. Everything in your list and your comments on the JP list is just you trying to tell SE how to run their game. The purpose of these interviews is to talk about SE running their own game.
You look at Elmer's translated interviews from Japan and you contrast it our BG-inspired ones. What is the difference? The interviews from Japan actually get answers because they are actually ASKING questions. "How did you feel about..." "What did you learn from..." "Did you expect..." etc. They are giving the devs a stage to talk about making and running this game which may give us insights on how the game will be ran in the future. Now BG interviews are more like statements and requests shaped in the form of questions. "[maybe you should] lower x's cost[?]" "[have you considered] make x forced pop[?]" "[do you think] x is too annoying and should be changed[?]. And these requests? If they don't get answered the first time, they just get asked again and again.
What if someone was interviewing Amano and asked "Feel like drawing a picture of me?"
NA interviews feel more like advertisement for new content while JP interviews seem like good natured conversations. They gain nothing from talking about the good ol' days and how it effects the newest piece of hype.
Couple months ago, back when the ToAU AF2s were first introduced, I had to reinstall. Something happened and the damned RoZ expansion didn't install (even though I put that CD in and it made whirrly noises and then asked for the next one).
I found out by not being able to get into Dynamis. Frac dropped while I was installing RoZ. I swear to god, I was closer to throwing my computer out a window than I ever had been before.
We didn't see another Frac drop for many weeks.
almost is close enough
if its a chapeau and your on it, im sure u dont have a PC to post now ^^;
I enjoy BG and all, but you do realize that BG-type players aren't the only type of players in the game?
I don't care about AV. I'd be happy if no interview ever wasted another moment on it. The fact that at NA fests fans will badger them about AV is both annoying and embarrassing.
There are all types of players around. There's room for all sorts of questions in interviews. Yes, even about male mithra, chocobo racing, and that Pokemon Pit whatever thing.
Edit:
Last RDM piece I need, but I'll likely never get it. I don't go to things on RDM often, and I'd hate to take the hat away from someone who full time RDMs.
And... at the time I suppose I'd pick the frac over the hat, if I had the choice. I play COR as much as I can, I just use RDM for Campaign battles (so: rarely). I get a lot more use out of the frac than I would the hat.![]()
If you think the tunnel in Bat downs or the path in Kazham are baffling, walk around the edges of Grauberg sometime.
There are, I shit you not, something like 15 dead end tunnels in Grau, a couple have ???'s or targetable spots, a named target or two, and then nothing but ghosts at night in little intriguing caves which lead nowhere.
Well, not every question asked by the Japanese player base could possibly be as relevant and poignant to sum up the deepest hopes, wishes, and desires of the entirety of the North American Final Fantasy XI player base as "I like cheese sandwiches, can you put a cheese sandwich in the game?"
honestly, the question on dnc/sch af2/group 2 merits was just a waste of time.
