Xbox360 w/ 20g HD
ok, I have my xbox360 and a 20g HD, I want to install playonline to it because its noisy as shit. I have maybe 3 live games installed but I seriously cant fucking install anything on the hard drive, it shows I have with as much wiped as possible, about 5 gigs.
Did I get a fucked hard drive or is that just the way it is

Well i am assuming you already play FFXI on the 360 yes? So... it is ALREADY installed on it to an extent. I have the 20G, and when i put FFXI on it years ago it took up 4-6Gigs. You likely would have to UNINSTALL it, then use the new Install To HD feature?
You may want to look around though, see if anyone has had any issues doing that? If i remember right, that is how people that were unable to play after the NXE hit... solved the issue?
If you DON'T already play FFXI on it, then i am not sure where the extra Gigs are getting used up. Good way to find out is to go to the Memory Tab and look at everything listed there. There is a lot you can probably delete if you haven't already. Profiles? Saves? Themes? And... as with most storage devices, not ALL 20 Gigs are available, but from the sound of it a) you know this and b) FFXI just needs to be uninstalled then "Installed to HD".

Yea, if it has FFXI already on it you need to uninstall it via the FFXI 360 Disc since it doesn't show up on the menu for System Memory. If it's already uninstalled, then there's something else i'm missing O.o; idk.

Ive sucked 27 dicks, in a row.
The 360 reserves 6gb for system stuff, and the FFXI install is taking 7-8, so once you factor in the base-10/base-2 bullshit and formatting overhead, you're looking at around 5gb left, yeah.

Trigger warning: Fuck your feelings.
Wtf lol, I posted in the wrong thread, fuck you work lol..
Anyways, to contribute a bit don't forget you aren't getting the actual 20 gig, do the conversion from binary + add w/e amount it reserves, etc.

Hahaha Meteora! I watched the whole video and just kept thinking "yeah... totally don't get it". Nicely done.
