I know that there is a japanese program that you can run in the background that has all the current shouts in Whitegate, in japanese obviously(In the program either english shouts are ignored or translated). I was wondering if anyone knew of an english version of this?

There was a website that allowed you to view the shouts but I think after it became widely known to the community at large the creator disallowed public access due to bandwidth rapeage.

I remember that program, it was absolutely priceless for the babblefish-type translations.

Pretty sure all the guy did was put a mule into an area, used logger to capture the text, and the text was uploaded to the website.

Some LS did this with a mule to have thier LS chat shown on their LS page so people offline could see what was happening.

We did this, we called it Chatlink. I don't know how, but the website admin created a forums program so non-logged in players could chat in-game too. It'd show up in-game as <Chatlink: Cdgreg> Whatever

Too bad the admin quit lol, it was pretty neat to do from work when bored or whatever.

There was one creepy thing about chatlink
You had to sit on the chatlink page on the site to see who was loged in, otherwise, you had no idea who was in the chat.
so if you have a ls that jokes about each other, when they are offline it could go like

I did this for my LS site, but I don't play anymore so I stopped working on it. It would read LS chat and display it on our 'member access' page so we can view LS chat from work or wherever, though you couldn't reply to it yet since I never really finished the project. You can also set it to read /shouts, /says, /party or /linkshell chat, etc...

If I ever finished it, I was going to release the code to the public, but never got around to it.
