3 new expansion scenarios seem neat but also sounds like "enter key" mission cs spamming.

For the Shantotto and Moogle Arcs, i could see old zones being used to tell the new stories but the Aldo arc almost seems impossible to tell without Tavnazia.
In the best case scenario SE could simply add a zoneline from the Blueblade Fell area that directly leads to the ruins of Tavnazia - a one zone area with monsters running about 'n such.
To clean up the problem of not having the adjacent zones in the past, perhaps some sort of npc could be arranged to access Tavnazia [S] - with perhaps more zones than its present day counterpart. Three zones in the bare-bones best case scenario id imagine.
In the worse case scenario, we get one incarnation of Tavnazia to help tell the tale.
Either way, i dont really see how they are going to tell that specific tale without adding one or two new zones. Id imagine it'd be a huge selling point for that specific tale and it'd be about time that we get to see the city so much of the game references constantly.
Blueblade Fell? What would you do, jump off the cliff?
There's an unused tunnel in Lufaise at G-6. The location is perfect to make a path towards old Tavnazia.
The easiest way to make an access point to a past Tavnazia would be to make a path to present old Tavnazia and then place a maw there. Might be able to get away with only 1 bridge zone.
I saw a link to the POL page about these things and thought they were a joke. Check BG and find out that no, they're real.
lol watch Moghouses becoming battlefields >_>
Anyone else happy for the eye patches
Disappointed it is on the left eye. I wished it was on the right.
As much as I would absolutely love them to add new zones with these mini-expansions, probably not happening:
FINAL FANTASY XI クリエイターズボイスUp until now, expansion packs have generally been developed from a perspective of “lateral expansion,” focusing namely on the introduction of new areas. These three new expansions, however, will deepen the storylines running through pre-existing areas by ushering in all-new plots and intrigues.
That's so lame. A story in the same old area won't have the same impact. Hell..seeing new bc/map was my biggest motivations to do story.
Seeing the potential for Tav[S] made me wet. Now, dry like a desert.
The eyepatches made me die a little inside, tbh.
I hope that as they add new expansions... these minipacks will continue to give people access to content that folks who didn't buy the minipack can't access.
I mean sure they are only 10 bucks a piece but... they sound like shit that could be added in a couple of patches np.
...but like BRP I'll be buying them no matter how shitty they may turn out to be.
