Also, perhaps this is only me, but I've been able to force Windower-ed FFXI (3.41) to crash repeatedly every time I equip my purple racing silk. I'll try doing a file check later to see if I can fix this problem.

Nexus Cape was doing the same thing. Are you using spellcast? If so, disable it when you put on the new armor. Hopefully aikar will fix it soon :/

I just got myself the sky blue racing silks.

I'm seeing this too. Not quite every successful dig, but it feels like around half of them. Can every single one really be a skillup?

What chocobo digging skill did you have before? and do you notice that you are getting better items?

From what we've found, enhances skillups is increasing the rate of skillups.

Digging ease lets you dig up items with no cost to the digging cap, by a lot. Some people are digging up nearly 50~75% more items per daily limit.

Hot and cold one simply lets you dig one more time, which is not bad actually.

the only other non self explanatory piece no one has checked out is the enhances chocobo raising skill. I'm gonna try raising a new digger thats colored (preferably blue to match the silks :3) and actually fast, so I might buy them soon and see if I notice anything.

I already have A10 digging skill, has anyone tried the sky blue which enhances chocobo digging skill who has A10 digging skill? Or should I just go with the regular blue?

Black "enhances hot and cold jackpot" so I'm really sure what it does, which is kinda why I bought it.

I'm at A40 (I think; lately I'm not quite sure if I'm checking it correctly.) I ended up with around 45 or so of those potential skillup messages, but was still A40 afterwards. My items were about the same as usual - I did some digging in the jungles using my bird with Burrow and Bore, and nothing hugely special or out of the ordinary showed up.

Just to verify, when should I start the 35-second timer for testing if I've leveled up?

As soon as you possible can hit the macro, the screen will still be black when you hit the macro( I am not even sure if the macro window will be up yet ).

Add "/clock on" to your macro.

Same thing here, just got S blue silks this morning, burnt through about 20 stacks of greens. Im thinking its roughly a 33% proc rate, though it might be 50% and I had bad luck. Its pretty high though.

Still sitting at A40, does anyone know of a good, still working digging parser?

Sky blue here as well, I'm starting to get the feeling that it might be like the dragoon wyvern temporarily "leveling up" as you get exp. Don't have anything to back that up, though.

The method I've always used to determine area delay is to go to Wajaom Woodlands or Bhaflau (seems to get much better/consistent results) and zone and spam /clock+/dig macro asap but use the moment the radar pops up as starting point for the measurement. I don't remember exactly where I got that radar thing from but the timing was a lot closer to multiples of 5 when I started doing that.

From the last 3 days of digging I'd put the proc rate on Blue Racing Silks (+endurance) at ~50%, maybe slightly more. Each dig I've been able to get at least 200 items before fatigue, as many as 228.
