Most of my past employers do it to ensure that most don't do anything hardcore or anyone that will be viewed as a liability. Most people I work with and/or have worked with in the past are known pot smokers. I have even had bosses that smoked after work or while on the job. Mind you, I don't work at Roscoe's or RayRays barber shop.
Just my take on it from the inside.
It depends on the test you need to take. If it's just to pee in a cup (or sorts) and they do the home test thingy then fake urine will work. If they take it to a lab like most employers do, then fake piss won't work because they check for actual blood cells in ur urine, and fake pee can't provide that.
tbh, not all employers even do the urine test, some take a saliva swab, ect... The saliva swab test is easy to pass as it only stays in your mucus for a few days. But overall you shoulda prep'd for the test further in advance. Herb isn't like cigarette's where it mentally/physically affects you if you go cold turkey.
I stopped smoking herb over 2 years ago and haven't even puffed once since then
And shue trolling a thread? nowai!
I hate that most companies Drug test their people. I think it is an invasion of their privacy. When it comes to testing and liabilities, where do you draw the line? Should companies test for Nicotine, Alcohol, certain addictive Prescription drugs, and even Caffeine or Sugar? Should they do a complete Health screen on their people, so they only hire the Healthiest, cleanest people so they know those employees won't miss work?
#1 Lol@Coke staying in your system for 6 months... For most people the shit is out of your system in 3 days it metabolizes very fast.... Weed however as other people probably said is 2-3 weeks for most people.
#2 So because this guy had an occasional habit smoking weed it means he shouldn't get his job? There is a huge difference between a person smoking in their off time and one who goes into work baked. So you compared Weeds altering effects to Alcohol so anyone who has a drinking habit out of work automatically you should assume they go into work drinking? Not trying to push my opinion of Weed and how its not as serious as most people think, I just think its kinda skewed the opinions some people are throwing out.
p.s. GL on the test and your sobriety.
To anyone who thinks it's so hard to quit the pot, it's really not. I think most people only feel "addicted" to it due to atmosphere or their own lack of will power, or intelligence. I was able to quit smoking Cigarettes cold turkey, and Nicotine is physically addictive. I'm sure something like Weed would be much easier to "break the habit." If he's working out and staying healthy, he shouldn't have a problem forgetting about weed lol. It's all in your head really, and if nothing's binding you to it (drug dealers, friends who don't do much else besides smoke weed, etc.) it should be easy as pie. ^^ Good luck on your test man.
Norelco: it was Stinger total detox, ends up i failed the written part of the test (was applying for AT&T Technician) so i didnt even get to the drug test part lulz
I went through school stoned everyday. I graduated third in my class. I took the Motorola exam stoned and passed(1 of 4 in my class that passed). I had to quit for a month so I could pass the urine test.
Every hear of the Buffalo Theory?
http://www.davidstuff.com/humor/cliff.jpg
Cliff expounds his "Buffalo Theory" to Norm.
“Well, you see, Norm, it’s like this. A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it’s the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.
In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine.
And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.”
Beer/Weed its all the same in its destruction of brain cells.
Couldn't help but respond to this. What if lets say you drive professionally for a living. You NEVER EVER go to work high, but, when you get home from a hard days work you like to relax at home with a nice joint/blunt/bong whatever. Obviously you are going to test positive for weed, but how are you endangering anyone if you don't go to work high? Just curious. There are LOTS of jobs where a drug test is part of the required hiring process, and they are def. not all jobs where you being high will endanger others, though some are. Will being high lower productivity? Probably, but so would being drunk at work, and alcohol leaves your system in a few hours. Personally I think drug tests are a huge waste of money except for select instances, as anyone with 40 dollars and access to a GNC store can be high as shit while taking a drug test and still pass it.
Then don't apply for those jobs. A company has the right to find out who they are hiring, the drug test is a basic extension of the background check. If a company thought that hiring someone addicted to painkillers would be a liability, then yeah, they could and would check for it if possible.
I've never worked for a company that did employee drug testing. I make plenty of money. What shit fucking jobs are people taking that they put themselves through the testing, and more importantly, what about them makes them unable to pick and choose between jobs? Lack of skills/education? Bad geography?
Sometimes it's not too much for an employer to ask you to lay off the fucking weed for a month just as a demonstration that you have some control over yourself. I don't want an employee who cuts corners and tries to dodge responsibility. If you're going to cheat on a drug test, how the fuck can I trust you and why would I even want to pay you?
companies dont want to hire people who do illegal things.
fact: weed is currently illegal.
This doesnt stop millions of marajuana users from getting jobs, just a few unlucky ones (or stupid ones)
You'd probably get fired for showing up drunk to work, but they can't test you for alcohal because it's legal to use on your off time.
He would of passed the written if he didnt smoke himself in to idiocy I bet.
